This is a cool place…read more I found myself driving through Pennsylvania and thought I'd check this place out -- My Buddie's Place is an all-male clothing-optional, membership only club. There's a yearly membership fee, and a fee for every visit, but if you are a one-time visitor, you can also just pay a one time fee. Upon entering, you will find a large living room type area with several couches and chairs, a couple of video game machines, a rack of a gay magazines, as well as a bar (that does not serve alcohol). The back area contains a full bathroom with a shower, several lockers and benches, private glory hole booths, as well as a video area showing gay porn. Outside, there is a patio, a small pool, a small cabin-type structure that has additional glory hole booths. The lockers are rather small -- not quite enough space to put all your stuff in, especially during winter. And they do not provide locks. Nor do they provide towels or condoms or lube (but those items can be purchased there). The flooring throughout is concrete -- I'd recommend bringing a pair of sandals or keeping your shoes on. While not spotless by any means, the space is clean enough and feels very down to earth and welcoming. On the day I visited, however, I was the only one there, so I'm not sure how it would feel with more people there. But I'm looking forward to coming back and finding out.

Every time a girl came out to prep for stage, she would go to one of those two guys. There were a few great girls.making the rounds and speaking with the clientele, but only about 10% of them were doing this. That's 90% of the girls who weren't interested in making money....it doesn't really make sense to me. When a girl did sit down and chat with me, I eventually asked her for a dance and she went on to explain the rules of the place. I got very confused, apparently you can only get lap dances in a very specific place, and then you can "upgrade" to what I believe is the VIP room where you get a specific amount of time with her for a price, and then there was a different room with different rules. I got confused and waived off the dance. I haven't been to a ton of clubs, but usually you just agree to a dance and she just starts dancing for you. In summary, this place is overly regulated, the girls ignore the customers, and it just seems like they only cater to their regulars rather than make new customers feel welcome. That being said, there are some fantastic girls and the food/drink prices are great! I went there with a couple hundred, expecting to spend at least half of it, bit since few girls approached me, I only ended up spending about $20 on a couple stage dances and 3 beers.

This was our first visit to XL Live and we were impressed with the venue as a whole. There is…read moreplenty of parking, which is nice.The employees were all friendly and professional, which is appreciated.  The interior is spacious and divided into 3 main areas and the second floor VIP section. The place was clean and had plenty of rest room facilities. The prices for drinks were reasonable for this type of venue and the selection of beers and liquors was above average.  The one complaint we had was the amount of distortion with the music that night. We've heard the band many times, but on this night both acts we had difficulty hearing the vocals as they were muffled/distorted. I'm not sure what the issue with the sound board was this evening, but in a premiere music venue, this should never be an issue.  We will definitely return to XL live in the future and hope the sound system was just a one off night.
