Internet search and reviews. After interviewing her on the phone, I hired her. I did not taste her food before the party and I placed my trust in her enthusiasm/compassion for her profession. She developed a menu and together we made minor adjustments. She and her staff of 2 arrived on the day of the party and got to work. The meal was ready as promised and it did not disappoint. She elegantly arranged the food for a serve yourself affair. We had a southern backyard social gathering complete with hot honey chicken biscuit sliders, savory chicken salad croissants, chilled shrimp, shrimp boil cups, spinach artichoke dip and fresh fruit. She prepared the food in my kitchen and refreshed the service area. I never worried about a single thing- she had it covered. At the end of the evening, the kitchen was left spotless and nothing out of place! If you want to "wow" guests with fabulous food and not worry about a single thing during the meal, hire Kim.

Simply Hailee, how we love thee…read more.. Displaced from restaurants by Covid and young children, my wife and I were losing our foodie status until we found Simply Hailee. Hailee has serious chops--professional training, Four Seasons experience, and as a private chef and caterer in Manhattan. We have ordered Hailee's doorstep delivery meals every week for a year and a half. Her French and Italian can hang with top, local restaurants. Fresh lamb, chicken, beef, salmon, cod. Her sauces and pasta are excellent. Her vegetables often steal the show. Her salad dressings--roasted balsamic tomato vinaigrette, caesar, ranch--are find-something-in-the-fridge-to-dip good. Soups are excellent--light yet flavorful. She also prepares greek, spanish, asian and mexican, all of which are excellent restaurant quality. And rarely is her cooking heavy. Its seasoned for flavor and properly prepared. If she makes salmon, you will taste salmon. If she makes brussels sprouts, you will taste brussels sprouts. Plus, its delivered to our door at the beginning of the week. No more dinner-planning. A high-quality dinner is served after heating in the microwave or toaster oven. Oh, and her quiches, her quiches! On our rare returns to restaurants, we often try a dish and say, "ya, it's good. But Hailee's is better."

I constantly am reminded of how much I love eating food that is pre-made, cooked from frozen, and…read moreoften pretty plain tasting. To clarify, I love eating these simple meals in restaurants that offer them in a non gaudy environment. When you have 10 humble people in the kitchen/back room hanging around, you know you are in a good place where people treat you like family. I sat down, placed my order, and fresh (probably instant bake) rolls and cornbread was brought promptly to my table. Right after that, our order came, just 10 minutes into the meal. The meatloaf was meaty and moist. The beef stew was meaty with plenty of pre-cut, probably frozen veggies. The black-eyed peas were good, as was the cabbage, and the macaroni was tolerable. The chicken fried steak was the worst of the bunch, but it still satisfied to the best of its ability. The pre-made gravy did justice to the somewhat tough and crisp steak. The grand total for a home-style feast? $20 for 2. That is why you cannot beat these types of meals. Sure, the dishes are probably hours old when you get them, and there may even be plastic wrap in your food (I did find a small piece...), but when gracious people are bringing you your filling fool, the grub tastes much better.
