Titlow is one of the many wonderful parks that Tacoma has to offer! Quick and easy to find with a parking lot, there are several activities to do here. There's a playground and splash park for the kiddos. I'm in it for the walking. In total it's about 2 miles. You can walk around the lagoon or take the larger loop that heads around to the beach and goes over to the picnic area. The beach is a great place to get a view of the Narrows and possibly see some sea life. A majority of the paths aren't paved so they might be a little muddy, but they're well maintained. The little "Tacoma" art installation in the water might be my favourite part on the account it's amusing to say "Tacoma is sinking!" when King tides come through. There's an old structure in the water that really reminds me of a mooring dolphin so I just had to research it - that's exactly what it is! There was a large hotel that brought in a lot of traffic and there was a ferry terminal there before the Narrows was built. I also learned that there was an octopus wrestling championship in 1963...who does that?! A lot of people, apparently as it wasn't the first event. Overall really nice park, though the history does make it quite a bit cooler.

Pretty cool place for many different events and gatherings here. It's really easy and straight forward to find if you're using GPS and it's your first time. Parking lots on site, along with side parking once you get closer to the water/train tracks. They have a great play area for kids and the splash pad area to cool off during hot days. It was a doggy and me day, so I took my pup down to the waters which is past the tracks. There are wooden picnic tables around with the water spouts with different heights if you want to rinse your whole body off, your feet, or if your pup needs some water. When you head down a slight decline to get to the waters, there are many rocks, so I recommend good water shoes or something with a good base. I wish sand would replace all the rocks to give it the actual feel of a beach. The water (during this hot week) was still slightly cool, but felt good on your feet. My pup got in and did some splashing which must have felt good for him. As we were walking back, a train was passing through, so we had to wait. No big deal. Nothing we can do about that. Over all, this place is great. There's also little stores and restaurants nearby, so give this place a try!

    Beautiful Sunny Day!

Beautiful place to just hang out and soak up the view and sun. Water was shallow enough if you wanted to swim or just walk around the beach. They also have kids play area on the other side of the beach.

After meeting a friend for a mid-week meal at a restaurant near Titlow Beach, he and I decided to visit the beach for a sunset stroll. As it was a weeknight, the area was pretty much deserted other than us, and the flock of seagulls that were watching us ;-) Both the beach and the park are quite pleasant in and of themselves, but the ajacent train tracks make some very jarring interruptions whenever a train rumbles through. Despite the train noise, when you live in a big city it's nice to have parks like this close at hand.

Not much better, no matter the weather, then a walk on the Coastal Beach, sand or rocks, it will calm you to your soul. Sun sparkling on the water or stormy waves crashing, magically majestic and/or powerful.

Great park with something for everyone - great views, beach, walking trails, play fields, playground, splash park, and the occasional train spotting. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's well worth the effort. But don't forget the sunscreen - there aren't many covered/shady areas and they fill up fast.

We had a nice time, we used the free shelter with the green top. Its really nice how they provide all these tables free, for anyone to use.

We visited this area yesterday and it was awesome! Beautiful views and something for everyone to do! Our kids especially loved the splash pad area! We will definitely be going back next time we come back to this side of the state!

Love this park! It's great for kids. Lots of tables so you can enjoy snacks. A water park and a couple playground sections. Look forward to bringing my son here again.

The playground is split into an older kids side and a younger kids side, with 1 entry (and a fence surrounding). Visibility isn't perfect but the single entry point is great if you want to stand in the middle to keep an eye on kiddos. Great spot for play dates (come with a coffee!). There are portapotties at the park and a real restroom a small walk down the path. Park is great for kids to use their imaginations and play, which is so much fun. Great spot to bring a ball and play catch or picnic to sit and relax or bikes! Can get hot - wear sunscreen if the weather is nice. Friends said it's also fun to bring bikes or a stroller and hit up the cafe (a bit of distance from the playground) and have some sweet potato fries.

My kids love coming here to play, scooter and walk around on the paved trails surrounding the playground. The playground is divided with an area for toddlers (2-5) and older kids. Spacious parking lot and picnic tables as well around. Restrooms are nearby as well - they are well maintained and nice as far as public park restrooms go (heated in the fall/winter time). There is also a little library here too. I enjoy coming here every time!

The moment you step in, you're surrounded by towering, hundred-year-old trees from all over the world that give the park a magical, shaded atmosphere. It's not just a park, it's also an arboretum, so tree lovers will appreciate the variety and history here. At the heart of it all is the Seymour Conservatory, a Victorian-style glasshouse that looks like it belongs in a storybook. Inside, you'll find a lush collection of tropical plants, seasonal floral displays, and even quirky additions like cacti and Golden Dart Frogs (fun fact: in the wild, they're considered the most poisonous frogs on Earth, but here they're safe since their diet is different). Beyond the conservatory, the park has a beautiful lily pond, fountains, open lawns perfect for picnics, and plenty of walking paths. It's also very family-friendly with playgrounds and lots of space to run around. Wright Park has that perfect mix of history, nature, and community. Whether you're here to stroll among the century-old trees, relax by the pond, or pop into the conservatory, it's easily one of Tacoma's most picturesque hidden gems. Best part? The parking lot shares space with a police substation so it feels really safe and everything seems really clean and nicely upkept. The park appears much larger on the map than I have checked out and appears to include a skate park as well. There are tables available to enjoy a picnic, or to simply sit while you watch children enjoy the playground. I did find the spray area to be a little underwhelming, but the playground equipment seemed newer and unique. The pool is a very good reason to come to this location. They are currently doing limited sessions due to lifeguard shortage, but its only 7$ for 2 hours. Best of all the wave pool is heated and feels amazing on a hot day. There are some water squirting things and one of those large buckets that dump water on everyone's heads. Lifejackets are available for use. On the day I visited there was plenty of room for everyone to occupy a table or lounger. It appears that the grassy hill next to the wave pool is a good location to set up and bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. There's a 1 ft wading pool that I mistook for a hot tub and was a little disappointed by, but likely great for smaller children. I also really liked that they have children complete swim tests and give them a bracelet to tell others what areas of the pool they are allowed to be in. My 7 yr old nephew insisted he could swim, but it was nice to have someone official reinforce that he needed to stay with adults or before a certain point.
