I'm back again to say more about our experience with Valley Remodel & Construction. Earlier this…read moreyear we hired VRC to help us construct our dream front yard. Mission accomplished. Now we needed their help to completely redo our backyard. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the experience. When we first moved into our house, we had our backyard done by another contractor who pressured us through the process and unfortunately did a really poor job. The drainage was not done correctly and our backyard ended up flooding multiple times - a literal swimming pool back there! Not nearly enough drains, poor concrete quality, and craftsmanship. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially because this was supposed to be a space our family could enjoy. VRC Build came in and completely changed that. Melissa, Gregg, and their entire team were able to quickly identify all of the issues, imperfections, and things that needed to be fixed. They not only came in and made things look better, they solved the actual problems. From drainage, to layout, to materials, every detail was thought through with care. They worked with us on every part of the backyard. The stacked stone, the types of plants, the pergola, the turf, the lighting, and all of the little details that make a space feel complete. They listened to what we wanted, gave thoughtful guidance, and somehow once again managed to go above and beyond what we had imagined. Melissa is amazing. Gregg is amazing. Their team is amazing. They are kind, honest, communicative, and so easy to work with. At this point, they truly feel like family to us. They also work incredibly fast and diligently. Every day, their team showed up focused, prepared, and ready to make progress. You can tell they take real pride in what they do and that pride shows in the final result. If you are looking for a contractor who is trustworthy, kind, talented, detail-oriented, and truly cares about doing the job right, I cannot recommend VRC Build enough. We are so happy with our backyard and so thankful for Gregg, Melissa, and the entire VRC Build team!

You will never experience this level of customer service with any other contractor and crew. The project took a total of 9 days!!! I watched the VRC guys arrive punctually at 7am every single day and they worked straight the whole time they were here and cleaned up at the end of every day. I've never met a more dedicated team! If you are still in need of getting your front yard or back yard landscaped, you must give Gregg a call at (661) 240-9090! We've done the research and got multiple bids. VRC checked all our boxes and then some. Could not be happier!

This review is a long time coming!…read more I first found SJR landscaping on yelp to design and landscape our entire yard in North Hollywood. Since then, I have worked with Hector and his team for years across multiple properties for many things. I have used them for: -tree trimming, tree cutting (large trees!), & stump removal -brush clearance -complete landscaping design (full grading, turf, watering systems, plants, planters, DE, etc) -hardscaping and concrete These guys really know what they are doing. They will really work with you to figure out exactly what you need. They are always thinking about how to deal with the details (drainage, plant locations, watering locations/logistics) And their quotes always come in lower than other places... Stay in touch with Hector during the process and you will be sure to get everything you need. Like I say, I've been working with them so long, they feel like family at this point! They really are a one-stop shop for everyting. That is another thing I love about them - they arent pushy. They will come out and discuss the project, give you an estimate, and won't try to strongarm you into hiring them. Its hard to find someone you can communicate with, work with, and not feel pressured. I remember the first time we hired them - all other places felt like they were pushing their ideas on us, but Hector always listened and strategized WITH us. 10/10 all around. Will be using them for as long as we need work! I wish I had more photos to share.

They also helped us make smart design decisions instead of just upselling things we didn't need. We ended up installing RTF sod with gopher mesh underneath, added gravel areas, planted a bunch of new plants and flowers, and upgraded our sprinkler system so everything runs efficiently. All the landscaping they helped us choose is drought tolerant, and the plants and flowers are native, which was important to us and fits perfectly with the SoCal climate. Pricing was competitive and honestly felt like great value for the quality of work and materials. The end result looks great and feels like money well spent. Overall just a really smooth, stress-free process and the yard looks awesome now. Would definitely recommend David if you're looking to upgrade your yard.

Happened to drive by Foothill Soils while running errands on a Sunday but they were closed. Called Monday morning to inquire and was greeted by someone who was friendly and helpful. She took my phone number and said someone would call me right back. They did! This person was also friendly and helpful and confirmed they had dirt that was tested and approved for school yards. GREAT! I went in the next day with my 5lb bucket and the person on staff happily filled it up and loaded it into my car within minutes even though it was raining! The price... UNBEATABLE. Stellar customer service from first contact to last and they lived up to their motto "No job is too big or too small." I have no doubt this grandma needing a small amount of dirt was treated as well as a large scale customer and for that I am very grateful.
