Warning about Nashville Firewood especially if you have paid and are waiting on delivery -…read more We live in an older house and we heat part of our home with our fireplace (it has an insert) in the winter. It also really saved us during Storm Fern and at least kept us warm enough where we and our animals could shelter in place. This year we decided to buy early so we would not be stressed about finding/having enough to get through the winter and we ordered 6 ricks of Ash from Nashville Firewood 2 months ago. Nashville Firewood originally told us it would be several weeks and that was okay at the time since we ordered in August when it was so hot. We have been getting the run around about the delivery delay that has now gone on 2 months and this week they blamed the issues on Metro Codes. I called Metro Codes and they said there are no issue with companies delivering firewood. They had previously said our wood was ready and just needed to find a time slot in their schedule and a driver for some time before this. Now they indicate Codes is keeping them from delivering. We asked for a full refund two days ago and I sure hope we get it soon. It was over $1,000. We have not received any proof of the refund process starting as we requested numerous times. I want to warn others about this as they indicated we were not the only ones experiencing a delay in delivery. We don't know exactly what is really going on to cause this delay but we had to get aggressive to get this information that lead to us asking for a refund. We think they may be shut down at least partially by Metro Codes and others waiting on their wood deserve to know this. They did not stay in proper contact with us, they were not transparent about the issues around this extended delay and are likely doing this to others. Other customers deserve to be aware and know they may want to go ahead and request a refund that could take a long time and buy wood from someone else in the meantime.
