Their fees are very reasonable and quality of work is perfect. I purchased a house in Murfreesboro and needed help on the lawn that was in bad shape. I inherited Let It Gro in late summer as my guy retired and sold his client list to this company…read more Service was spotty from the start. I didn't know what day of the week he was going to show. But I was patient and gave him time to incorporate his new accounts into his existing client base. In addition to the weekly lawn cut, I had an immediate need to replace two broken sprinkler heads. I showed Karl ( Let It Gro owner) on the day I met him. He stated he would get to it right away. Fast forward to late September. Weekly service turned into who knows when service. At one point, he showed up when I wasn't home. He dug a hole around one of the broken sprinkler heads, didn't fix anything, and left my property leaving the hole exposed without flagging it. It was the perfect size for an ankle turner. Communication with this company is the worst I've ever experienced. Emails inquiring about the lack of service, incomplete repairs, and allowing dangerous conditions to exist went unanswered. On November 10, I texted him and reminded him he hadn't been here since OCTOBER 15. The grass was long, leaves were piling up, I still had a hole in the ground, and the shrubs needed the fall trimming. He did respond. He addressed nothing except to say he was cutting lawns that week and double cutting for leaves. He did not show up. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I fired Let It Gro today.

Wonderful experience Eunice and Milton are GREAT…read moreCalled, Milton came out assessed the area, made recommendations. That evening I had an estimate as well as a scaled drawing to submit to HOA Once we got approval, we were put on his schedule for installation ( after rain delay ) they were in and out in couple of days. I am extremely disappointed with American Fence & Gate and its owner, Milton. My biggest issue…read moreisn't just that the job was never properly completed--it's how I was treated throughout the process. There was a constant pattern of promises that were never kept. I was repeatedly told workers would show up and the job would be completed, only to have nothing happen. Eventually, Milton simply stopped responding to my calls and texts. I paid $4,300 upfront. Before the job was finished, Milton repeatedly pressured me by email and text for additional money. After becoming relentless, I paid another $3,630, holding back $1,150 until the job was completed. It never was. The final straw was Milton specifically telling me his crew would be at my home Friday to finish the job. Nobody showed up, there was no explanation, and my repeated attempts to reach him afterward went unanswered. I understand that problems happen in business. What I don't accept is repeated broken promises, being pressured for payment on unfinished work, and then being ignored. I have texts, emails, photographs, and payment records documenting everything. I gave Milton multiple opportunities to make this right before finally ending the relationship. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend American Fence & Gate.

None of this brings me any joy but I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. After saying "we" our whole conversation he ends up showing up alone, at 4pm to do what I knew should be a 3 hr+ job for 2-3 people. Of course it gets dark and he is not finished but instead of coming back the next day knowing he could not see in the dark to make it look nice, he "finished up". Blew rubber mulch with his blower ALL over the place. In the road, on the driveway, all in the grass. He did not have a rake so of course we didn't mind letting his use one but he also came without clippers....he came back the next afternoon because he had removed 2 shrubs and needed to haul them off. Pulled up in a sedan, shoved them in the trunk and left a large amount of brush all over the sidewalk and road. I did message him when he asked how it looked and I told the truth. Instead of offering a partial refund which is what I would have done because this should have been $400 max at this level of experience he told me he didn't want to bother us or the neighbors by continuing cleanup after dark....said he still wanted to come and tidy things up. I told him since the HOA is strict that we couldn't just leave all this mess here and after 4 days of him not offering we ended up cleaning up what we could ourselves. Found out after the fact that he does not even live in my neighborhood yet was on posts recommending himself. He also is on this business page giving himself a 5 star review. I am a very reasonable person, if any attempt to make this right were made it would have been appreciated. Partially this was my fault for not checking into him better beforehand, lesson learned.
