She's pretty conservative and careful with how many units she has given me so I usually know what to expect when I come here. The facility itself is pretty big, and they have their beauty product storefront in the lower level. The one part I don't like about this place is the issues I have when they are calculating your bill. I've had mishaps on my bill every time I have gone. I'm usually able to catch it there is a mistake, but on one visit I did not and had to contact their help center. They were very nice about it and credited my account. But the next time I came, it was not automatically applied to my bill. So I have about $12 in credit left here according to my Klarna account so hopefully it can be applied on my next visit.

He spent a sum total of five seconds looking at my skin (chest up only) from about a 3' distance. As you can imagine I was ticked because I spent a $50 copay for absolutely nothing. I ended up going to a different dermatology practice in Mountain Brook about a month later and they removed 3 pre-cancerous abnormalities. Thank goodness I had the sense that I needed to be more thoroughly checked. I really am disappointed with Dr Henderson and Dermotologist of Birmingham. I definitely won't go back there.

Dr. Bourgeois is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and down-to-earth. He listens carefully, explains things clearly, and truly cares. He has helped us with many issues over the years involving elbows, legs, knees, feet, ankles, back areas, and more -- always with patience and expertise. When something was outside dermatology, he respectfully guided us to the right specialist. The staff deserves just as much praise. Lilly and Madison at the front desk are consistently kind, patient, and professional, making check-in and scheduling smooth and stress-free. Nurse Taylor is wonderful -- attentive, calm, and reassuring. Rhonda, Kailey, Allison, Angelica, Denise, and Lydia have all shown genuine care, kindness, and professionalism over the years. Lydia even took extra time to help with my brother's wheelchair, which meant a great deal to us. The clinic itself is excellent: Clean, well-lit parking lot Wheelchair-friendly halls and exam rooms Comfortable waiting area with seating and magazines Clean restrooms with working lights, hot & cold water, and plenty of tissue Smooth check-in/check-out and reliable prescription handling Helpful appointment reminders by text and phone If we could give 100 stars, we would. We are deeply thankful for Dr. Bourgeois and every member of his team. - Mark & Tim Elders (and our fur babies appreciate us staying healthy!) Birmingham, AL

Dr. Jacobson, Mary Beth Templin, and the whole staff are just awesome…read more I found Inverness Derm through a trusted family member who had experience as a patient with this practice and have now been a happy patient for about 5 years. Before switching to Inverness Derm, I had been a patient at a large dermatology practice in the Highland Park neighborhood. After many years at that practice, my "Dr" would still come in the examination room and introduce herself to me as though we had never met before even though I have been seeing her every 6 months for several years!!! Between that unbelievably impersonal attitude and couple of other things I left and found Inverness Derm. Once there, I couldn't believe the difference in company (or practice) culture. The staff at the other practice was rude and very aloof... I think they were suffering under the illusion that they were God's gift to medical administration or something. It always felt like we patients were cattle being herded through the office. Not pleasant at all! Anyway, the staff at Inverness has always been very helpful, friendly, courteous, and prompt. I'd also like to say that the friendliness has been very consistent over the 5 years that I've been a patient. On my first visit, I saw Dr. Jacobson. She took a good amount of time speaking with me about my condition and gave me the recommendation she said she would "give to her niece". I appreciated her candor and knowing that she was giving me the same advice that she'd give to her family. Every visit I've had with Dr. Jacobson has been very positive. She's great. I've also seen the P.A., Mary Beth Templin, a number of times. She's very thorough as well, and very friendly. I've always felt very comfortable under her care. As I said above, the whole staff is great. I've been late to a few appointments over the time, and they've always graciously worked with me. Also, I've never had to wait over 20 minutes or so to be seen. Bottom line: Inverness Derm is great. If you need a dermatologist in Birmingham, this is the place!

I feel like she is personally interested in my health and satisfaction with every visit. I look forward to seeing her. My children have seen Suzanne Vickers, the PA. She is very good at what she does and has the sweetest way with kids. She always remembers us and we chat like old friends when we see her. We've seen Dr. Glick just once, but she was very professional too. The staff have been helpful and courteous. We had some issues when our insurance didn't want to cover one medication but the staff worked it out for me by submitting a prior authorization form (my prescription insurance can be difficult to work with so I appreciate the way they handled it). I've been so many times that I can't give an actual number and we are usually called back to see the doctor after waiting from 0-15 minutes past the appointment time. I think most doctors' offices are like that. Once, we had to wait an hour, but that has never happened again (I guess everyone has a bad day). When you go, wear a sweater (even in the summer) because the waiting room is really cold! I'd recommend Dr. Groysman and her staff to anyone who needs a caring and thorough dermatologist.
