Won't do this again pretty upsetting cause I have trusted this with my cars for over four years, but I won't again Nobody should wait 4 to 5 hours with an appointment to get their tires put on without a giant discount Waiting OVER 7 hours !! They should give me a tire for free but corporate only offered $40 for the inconvenience. Seriously I have a day planned that is now destroyed. Sorry you won't see my vehicles for further service

I asked if they had any rough estimate of when it would be ready. They said they couldn't give an estimate, but they would call when they knew. A few hours later they called me, but asked for a "Mr Caldwell". I said "no, this is Mr xxxx" they said "oh I am sorry, I have the wrong number." I called back about an hour later, and asked if my vehicle was ready and was told it was not. I asked for an estimate, they put me on hold and then the line disconnected. I called again a couple of hours later and again, was put on hold and hung up on. Finally I was able to get through with someone and I was told that my vehicle is registered to someone else. She asked if I could provide proof of ownership?! They said they couldn't start service since I didn't have my correct contact information given to them. And they hadn't started anything. I said I am coming to pickup my vehicle and that I would be there in about an hour. When I get there they asked what the problem was, and I explained the above. They basically made it out like it was my fault that several years ago my car's information got saved to a body shop that had ordered a tire from them. Again, keep in mind that I had given and confirmed my information TWICE. I said "I'm not upset, I just want my car, you asked me why I'm not happy with the service and I explained." He said "okay it will be about fifteen minutes." I said "why?! I called an hour ago and told you I was picking it up." He laughed and said "because the tires aren't on." I said "why aren't the tires on, I asked to pick it up an hour ago." And he said he wanted to force me to have a conversation, so that he could change my mind, so he didn't want my car to be ready to be picked up until he could talk to me. I wasn't angry until he explained he was basically holding my car hostage to force me to talk to them to try to convince me to get their service.

Good news, Manager, Travis, called me and said all the right things. Made the right commitments to make it right. Seemed genuinely as shocked as we were at the behavior and outcome of his staff. We will continue, for now, to be a customer of Kauffman Tires in Peachtree City. AND It gets better. District Manager, Trip, called a couple of hours later to express his disappointment at how it had all been handled and commit to making whatever necessary changes to protocol and processes to make sure this never happened to any other customer. I feel very good at the responsiveness and attention Kauffman tire has shown to this issue at the management level. AND Finally...took the car back in, replaced the battery, examined all the work, cleaned up the engine. And seems to be running great...no more squeeling in my steering wheel. So I have upgraded from 1 star, to then 3 stars as they were going through the process of making it right and now.... 4 stars. Kauffman tired stepped up at every level and made their customer happy again.

If Negative Stars were an option...buckle up for this parade of horribles...this is my synopsis of…read moremy 5-page Word document of notes from this "experience". I brought my vehicle to this Mavis location on March 28 for four new tires. Less than half a mile after leaving the store, my entire wheel came off the vehicle while turning into traffic. There were no warning signs, and no lug nuts were found at the scene. Police were called, and the vehicle had to be towed back. While I was initially assured that Mavis would cover all damages and provide a rental car, the process that followed was extremely mismanaged and frustrating. I did have an assigned point of contact at the regional level (after they abruptly fired the store manager who was the only helpful person during this process); however, this did not lead to resolution. My contact, Marcus King, repeatedly provided inaccurate information, failed to follow through on commitments, and misrepresented the status of repairs and coordination efforts. While I generally knew where my vehicle was physically located during the process, no one -- at any level -- could clearly explain what work had actually been completed, what was still pending, or provide proper, itemized documentation of repairs. Additional issues included: Significant delays in rental car approval and coordination Rental payments being stopped without notice, resulting in charges to my personal card and the lack of ability to return said rental car for two days after dropping it off at Mavis, incurring further charges. My vehicle being moved between repair facilities without clear communication Inconsistent and, at times, contradictory information from staff Lack of any itemized or legible documentation for completed repairs until I demanded it and they made up some on a computer After nearly a month, I was told my vehicle was ready to be picked up at another location (Sharpsburg/Newnan) per my request. Within minutes of driving it, I experienced a loud metal grinding noise. The issue -- a bent back plate -- was identified almost immediately, indicating the car had not been properly test-driven, despite assurances that it had been. Also, when I left, they assured me the rental would be returned, which it wasn't for over two days, causing charges to be put on my card. The most concerning issue is Mavis's customer service structure. Customers cannot speak with anyone at the corporate level; the highest level of contact available is regional management. When a situation involves failures at that level -- or is directly caused by it -- there is no meaningful escalation path. This creates a complete lack of accountability for serious issues, including those involving safety. Plainly, there is no customer service to be had for you and those who are in "charge" have no desire to help because they simply don't have to. I have never encountered a customer service model like this. In a case involving a major safety failure caused by improper installation, there should be transparency, clear communication, proper documentation, and access to decision-makers. Instead, I experienced the opposite at nearly every step. I ultimately received compensation almost a month after the incident, but only after significant effort, repeated follow-ups, and escalation attempts on my part and demanding to never speak with Marcus King again - another regional manager was finally able to get me some compensation for this horrible experience. This entire situation was not just frustrating -- it was preventable and revealed serious gaps in both operational and customer service practices. I'm sure some chatbot will come on here and say "Oh we're sorry, please call us at XXXX Ext. 2" and that will do absolutely nothing. I just pray everything was actually done, as they said it was.

On Wednesday, we called around to a few places to see whether we could get an appointment for service. One highly-rated place was backed up through the following week, so they were out. Kedron Tire said we could bring in the vehicle for same-day service. Another advantage they have is that it is within easy golf cart driving and we could even walk it one-way for drop off or pick up, if necessary. We dropped it off at lunchtime and asked for an oil change, tire rotation, and a battery check. They provided an estimate for a new battery in case it was needed. Around 3:30 p.m. they called to say that the vehicle was ready for pick-up. We stopped by just before 5 p.m. They confirmed that the battery was, in fact, almost dead and provided some diagnostic stats to justify the replacement. Pricing wasn't unreasonable. I appreciated the ease and promptness of the whole service experience here.
