The first…read moretime was probably about 10 years ago when they first opened and we had the oil changed in our car. Most recently, we brought our 2017 vehicle in to have the air conditioner fixed. We had hit a deer while driving home from Yellowstone National Park in August 2020. We were told from out insurance company that because of the front bumper and hood damage, we had to take it to Russ's Auto Body. Russ's Auto Body installed a new condenser and told us all the work they did would be covered under warranty for 2 years. A few months ago it stopped getting cold and started making a sound like something was leaking. We took it back to Russ's and it was like pulling teeth to get them to look at it again. They insisted it had to have been something else and not what they had done. We immediately left there and made an appointment at Meineke to have them diagnose the problem. Sure enough, the problem was the o-rings on the condenser were not lined up properly, causing the gas to leak out. We never told Meineke anything about what was fixed previously at Russ's, yet they correctly diagnosed the issue. We took that information back to Russ's where they honored the warranty and supposedly fixed it. That was just a few months ago. In the last month or so, we had noticed the air conditioning would make a noise and was not getting cold. My husband and I both agreed to just take it to Meineke even though it would have still been under warranty at Russ's. It just wasn't worse the hassle. We made an appointment at Meineke and it only took them a couple hours to not only fix the issue, but to get it working better than before. All their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Sam at the front counter was a huge help and is always so pleasant to talk to. Their prices are fair and they all-around are great to do business with. I highly recommend!

Alvin asked me, "Why don't you just have a new key made? Keys can get worn down. Have a new key made, and if that doesn't work, come back." I had a new key made, and everything was fine. When I moved to Montana in 2006, I continued to use Unique for repairs, maintenance, pre-travel checks, and for pre-purchase checks on vehicles I was considering buying, whether from private people or a dealership. I eventually bought two Jeeps, a 1996 Cherokee Grand Loredo from a private sale in 2013 (which I'm still driving), and a 2006 Commander in 2014 from Lithia Missoula. Service advisors Alvin and Amos are Jeep certified, as are the Unique mechanics. They do better work than Lithia in MIssoula and Twin Falls, and I don't have to worry about getting ripped off. In 2015, I bought a 2013 Dodge Dart. Unique services all my vehicles. Now that my daughters are grown, they take their vehicles to Unique, too. Today is 26 March 2021, and the only time I take my vehicles anywhere else is if I need service when I'm out of town. Alvin and Amos are honest, their mechanics do the job right, and they won't rip off a woman.

    I had bought tires at Pomp's which came with free tire rotations. Tire installation and my first…read morerotation went on with no problems. I went today to get another rotation and oil change. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle after being there for over 6 hours, I was informed they were unable to rotate my tires because one of my lug nuts was stripped out. The receptionist guy said they were a weird lug nut and that I should replace them (which they could do if I made another appointment and paid them over $100). When I questioned him as to how this was possible considering Pomp's workers had been the one's who had taken the lug nuts off the previous 2 times, he became very angry. He yelled at me, saying it was a worn out lug nut and an issue with the type of lug nut and not the work done by the crew. My argument was that lug nuts dont just wear out in such a way that they strip themselves out. Again he became irate and yelled at me. At that point I finished paying my bill and left the store. I will never go back even though I'm owed free rotations for another few years, and on top of that, now I have to pay to get the lug nut they stripped fixed by another tire shop. If I could give zero stars for this review, I would.

My son brought his Chevy Blazer in for the new tires, and we also added an alignment service. After putting the vehicle up on the rack, the service tech told us he needed a new Pitman arm and various other parts they recognized as "not brand new." Since the vehicle had been serviced TWO DAYS prior, with the Pitman arm rated a 2/10, meaning it wasn't anywhere near the end of life, we argued that it absolutely didn't need one and to proceed with the service. They refused to do the alignment if we didn't allow them the $700 repair first. My son took the car back to the original service center, who verified the vehicle needed NO other repairs and that the Pitman arm was absolutely fine. Clearly, this is a shakedown at Pomp's for money on unnecessary repairs. I'm not sure if they don't make enough money on the tires through the USAA Goodyear program, but they were also getting an alignment service out of us. Not anymore. We're taking the vehicle ANYWHERE but Pomp's for an alignment. I'll be letting USAA know that Pomp's is unqualified to partner with them for their Goodyear program. USAA is a bank and an insurance company for military members and their families. Pomps ought to be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of ANYONE, let alone the military and their family members & retirees. 0/10. Do NOT recommend.
