Wife and I needed to add a tonneau cover to our pickup and we also needed to get a bed extender installed so that we could put luggage and other stuff at the very back of the bed and not have it slide all over the bed as we traveled. Its amazing how much things shift and move around in your truck bed as you start and stop at intersections or find yourself hard stopping because of the driver in front of you. Went to see Clay Bailey at North Florida Aftermarket and he ordered the items we wanted installed. When the items arrived, they called, and we took the truck by and let them install them. Everything was good except the bed extender that was received and installed was the Sport version instead of the HD MAX. Once identified, Clay took it in stride and placed an order for the HD Max extender while letting me keep and use the Sport version until the other one came in. Once the HD Max arrived, they called and I took the truck in to swap on the bed extenders. All went well until we figured out the the rails for the tonneau cover extend to far into the bed which prevents the HD Max bed extender from rotating into and out of the bed. Ended up having to keep the Sport version of the Bed extender. Throughout all of this Clay rolled with the punches. North Florida Aftermarket is the place to go for your vehicle aftermarket products. Immediately they were egger to help and get us back on the road. They were very busy with lots of other jobs but they gave me a high priority and repaired correctly. They even rebalanced the tire. The price was too reasonable and I tried to even tip them more but they wouldn't take even a tip. This is not their normal business, but their business is having happy satisfied customers. We didn't suspect anything was wrong until she needed new brakes and after taking it to a tire store and 3 mechanics, was told it was impossible to get off without torching it off. We had to rent a car for a week ($250), plus pay for the mechanic's time and a used wheel ($800). My mechanic said in his 30 years he'd never seen anything like it. He broke 4 tools on it before having to torch off the lug nuts, which made us have to replace the rotor too. He said he had to have used lock tight or some other chemical. Why?! I have no idea but when I initially called him when the first mechanic said he couldn't get it off, he said he wouldn't touch it after someone else had looked at it. He knew what he'd done and didn't want to take responsibility. Pathetic! The problem with these guys is they wash their hands of anything they do. Pay extra and get your car towed to a reputable mechanic or tire service who will actually take responsibility for their work.

I…read morehired him to fix what started as the starter in my car which led to the flex plate then when we got all the parts in he had ordered the wrong bolts, he took them told me he was going to trade them in for the right ones, and the next thing I know he's telling me to send him more money so he can order more bolts. And honestly, I haven't seen the bolts that I bought or the ones that he supposedly bought , so I honestly think that he put the old ones back in which you're not supposed to do. And all he did was put the flex plate in and put my transmission back on so he could get his jack from under my car. he told me he needed one nut to finish working on the car promise to be back the next day and I have not seen him since and I believe I am missing some wires. Definitely the screw for the nut. There's something hanging under my car, he never put the starter back in, he swore up and down that he didn't do shady work and he got me every which way he could I've probably given him about $1000 and that's not including what I paid him to fix the car.
