I had to hit the mechanism multiple times in order to make it work. I started washing my car with no problem. It usually takes about 5 dollars to wash the car with a minute left over. This time, the minutes ran out quickly and I had no more quarters to reset the time. I was only able to wash of half the soap before time ran out. I went to the attendants room to complain but the room was locked and no attendant on duty.
