Called and scheduled an appointment, got my car towed there(cost $100), all for them to call me right before the appointment and say "We don't do that type of service". Called to schedule an appointment for an alignment. A different employee called me immediately back stating they can't do the time scheduled and I would need to come 45 min earlier. I had to leave work early and showed up 5 min early. The same employee very rudely told me they would not be able to do an alignment today and I would have to reschedule. He said their system had gone down and he sent his technician home. They never called to notify me of this. read more

Just had 4 tires installed on my 2018 Jeep Compass. The shop left a broken wheel cap in the front seat. After paying, I went in with the broken cap to ask and was immediately addressed in an unprofessional and discourteous manner. Tire Barn claimed they were planning to talk to us about it. They then claimed it was already broken and I could buy a new part and they would install it. On top of that, the tire pressure monitors are not working. They actually told me I should never come back. Don't go to this place unless you want broken parts, shoddy work, and attitude. read more

Went to Tire Barn 2 Saturdays in a row to have a tire fixed, broken tool one Saturday and no air hoses the previous Saturday. I have road hazard for tires and will have to take somewhere else and pay to have fixed.This is not the same business it used to be. I have bought several sets of tires here, never again. Horrible customer service and treatment! Went in for a flat repair and the tech didn't air the tire up to the spec 36 PSI. Went back and asked the Manager at the desk to Air up the tire to the spec and he said directly to me " You couldn't put 5 pounds of Air in your tire!" Now this is the tire I paid to have the repair fixed, checked, and Air to the proper inflation pressure that the manufacturer calls for, but some how in this Managers eyes it's my responsibility to Air this tire up to the required 36 PSI. Maybe I'm wrong but doesn't most places like Discount Tire, Belle Tire perform courtesy air pressure checks and top tires off as a courtesy? Obviously Tire Barn in Columbus Indiana does not or at least in Eli's " The Managers" eyes they don't! Will not be going back again and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

these guys are great, they take on any tire issue on Sundays when I always seem to get flat tires. They are fair and reasonably priced and always busy on Sundays because they are one of only two shops opened seven days a week in Columbus. They carry reasonable products for a reasonable price. I got two cheap blackion tires there because there because they were what they had, to replace my cheap GT tires. They have already lasted over 10,000 miles. They did not try push anything on me. Expect extreme wait times for small jobs to be completed. We have been waiting for 6 hours for a tire leak repair. The front desk workers seem to be annoyed when dealing with customers. Overall, a horrible experience in wait times and interactions with employees. I would only choose this business if it was an extreme emergency and you have half a day to wait. Edit - Part 2: when checking out my wife and I was yelled at across the counter from the employee who cashed us out for questioning additional charges that we did not consent to. To the point that the employee was yelling and had to go another portion of the store. Again, worst customer service possible. read more

Like most tire companies/stores, they like to get your tire's off and then say, "they can't [legally] fix them because of age of tire(s)" or "because of hazardous brakes" or just generally something, really whatever is associated with your reason for you being there. I spent $500 getting new tires on my car in Nov of 2013. I assumed alignment was included because who is going to spend money on new tires and not have an alignment done? Once it warmed up I had started driving with the windows down and noticed a flapping noise from the front. I thought maybe something was in the tire so I took it to Tire Barn in April 2014. They looked at it as said nothing was in the tire but asked if I have had it aligned. I said when I got tires and that is when they told me they didn't align it. I went ahead and had them align it. They said the left front will take time to wear down before it stops making noise. I noticed after I had it aligned that the steering wheel wasn't straight and the back tires looked like they were leaning in at the top. I called and they told me the back is supposed to be like that which I have never seen another car look the way my car did. So over the weekend I had a dealership look at my car. They told me the rear tires need replaced and are worn on the inside because they aren't aligned! I took my car back to Tire Barn and explained the situation. The guy at the desk went back into the shop to speak with a manager. The manager never came up to talk to me. The employee came back to the desk and told me they could give me a price break on some new tires. I asked why aren't they covered under warranty because they are less than a year old and have 16k miles on them. I was told it wasn't covered under warranty because it was six months from the time I bought the tires until I had it aligned. My problem is after they aligned my car the back tires were leaned in causing them to go bad! I asked why alignments aren't included with new tires and they told me they only do it by customer request. They said if they included it on all new tires it would take weeks to get new tires. So now my car is at another shop getting fixed. I told them what had happened and instantly they knew it was Tire Barn because they had had at least 10-15 customers in the last few months complain about them! I will never go back to this place again and regret spending $7k in the last couple years with them through my business. Needless to say we will be taking all our company vehicles somewhere else! read more

Went for a simple tire alignment. They told me my tie rods were maxed out but it's food to go. Next day my inner tie rod falls out of my car. No steering in passenger side. Both tie rods inner and outer are brand new. They told me to drive it There "which is impossible" His excuse for justifying there ignorance was that he told me my tie rods were maxed out. Yea he did but never once said it was dangerous. They adjusted tie rod the wrong way. Then was rude when I called them about it. Don't go here. Had 120 paid to mechanic yesterday. 60 on inner and outer tie rod which was brand new. And both front tires have horrible uneven wear. They wouldn't even get it towed. So I'm gonna be out $300 from a $80 alignment. Will be letting everyone i know how ignorant these employees are read more

Beware of this place and the very low quality products they push. My 19 yo daughter had a bad tire after 40,000 miles. She sucked it up and spent over $400 on a new set of tires. 3 months and 2,000 miles later the new back 2 tires had weird wear and the belts showing. I took them back to the same location for them to look at and provide assistance. They told me it was an alignment issue and they would not help. I have been in the automotive industry for 25 years. This particular vehicle does not have any adjustment in the rear for the alignment. It also does not have any damaged parts. It is well known by ford and anyone with experience of this vehicle that inner tire wear is accelerated "slightly" due to the lack of this adjustment. The previous tires had 40,000 miles and showed some wear on the inner edge. These junk quality tires were worn being use in 2,000 miles. For some reason they don't have the same tire available, unknown reason. Lol So the best they would offer is to sell me 4 more tires at a discounted rate. Why should I give them more money on top of what my daughter already paid them? I checked around and found the same (better) tire they were "discounting" for less than they discounted. Needless to say, I bought elsewhere and verified the alignment was within ford spec. Beware and shop elsewhere. They don't care about anything other than moving you through and taking your money. Went to buy tire for my car ended up wanting to get all four tires on my car changed, however they had gotten one already put on and then told me that there was no more tires of the brand I used and would have to get some from a different store, I said ok. Overall a pleasant experience. I got quotes from a few places for 4 new, 175/70R14 tires. Tire Barn was the cheapest (less than $300 for a 50k mile tire) and they had the specific tires I wanted so I made an appointment. The store is very clean and, best of all, air conditioned. But I didn't see coffee, which I like but certainly not required, just something to take my mind off the awkward/boring time in the waiting area. The staff is great. The people I talked to were friendly, laid back and knowledgeable. They're quick and good at their job. My tires were installed and I was out the door in about 30 minutes even though they were pretty busy. I only had one small problem (below if you care to read more). I would definitely recommend Tire Barn. They're fast, friendly and reasonably priced. --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- My only gripe (applies to tire stores in general, not just Tire Barn)...seems like every time I request specific tires, they're never available when I show up. So, this time I called shortly before the appointment and verified they had my tires. They said there were 4 sitting on the rack. I arrived an hour later and sure enough, the tires were gone. BUT they offered a better tire at $10 less than the tires I requested. A better tire at a lower price makes up for that! I don't know whether its deliberate to tell customers a tire is available to get you in, but selling a more expensive tire at a cheaper price doesn't seem like a good business model. This is not specific to Tire Barn. I've bought tires at different places in my day and its happened several times at different stores The lesson, I think, is its best to call or go to the store in person for a quote rather than use a website. Stores generally have more tires than the website shows and inventory changes quickly. And, best of all, you'll avoid the frustration of not getting the tire you ask for. read more

I spoke with you on the phone you ask me to email you with my copies enclosed is the invoice for tire barn and you will see on the invoice high lighted by the tire barn manager were he wrote the name address and phone number of the shop he wanted me to take my car to after his shop stripped two of the lugs on one of my tires that they had put a plug in a few days before he apologized and told me that the lugs had to be pressed out and then pressed back in again and that tire barn at his location did not have a press so he wrote the name of the shop to go to and told me to take the car to them and as soon as I had to invoice to bring it back to him (the manager) that he would reimburse me. So after doing so when I took the invoice also enclosed he then told me that he would not elreimburce me that it would have to go through corporate which he said nothing about when he sent me to the other shop and tricked me into paying for the repair his shop caused to my vehicle all I want is the reimbursement I was promised, I'm not asking for anything for the several trips and inconvenience just what I was promised by your shop manager.thank you Ben Hicks 812 988 8211. Don't bother with this place. Major scheduling issues and no concern from employees for fixing the problem. When you schedule an appointment to get new tires put on and alignment checked, and you are on time and they tell you now they have too many appointments and can't get to the alignment check until next week, that's a problem. Not everyone can bring their car back for another appointment. Especially when they are always running behind. Last time I got my alignment checked there, it was a 2.5 hr appointment. Took them an hour to even get to my car. & who wants to get new tires on and risk messing them up because alignment hasn't been checked. Apparently, they don't care about their customers. I spent over 600$ on tires for my truck, the manager was very friendly. I was and am pleased with the tires so far. A week later I came back to purchase some more "aggressive" looking wheels. Spent another 600$ and was assured that they would fit my vehicle. They came in and it only took them about a minute to realize they wouldn't fit. They pushed me to purchase spacers for my truck, which is another 200$ FOR THE PAIR! I would need front and rear sets. That takes my 600$ wheels to 1000$. I think not. So I asked for a refund. They said that they would have to send me a check, that was over two weeks ago. So in total they've had my 600$ for nearly a month. Frankly if you go here, you're a dolt. read more

I had 4 tires replaced on my wife's 2014 BMW 328D 10000 miles ago. She took it to the Tire Barn in Greenwood, Indiana to get the tires rotated and balanced 3 weeks ago. The staff at the Greenwood store informed me, that each wheel on the road side of the vehicle was missing a wheel bolt. They replaced the front, but stated the threads were damaged on the rear and were unable to install the fifth wheel bolt. I returned the vehicle to the Columbus store the following day. The staff at the store proceeded to tap the bolt hole to the wrong thread pitch. They stated the "Risk Management" team from corporate would contact me. After 3 weeks and hundreds of phone calls, I still have no resolution to this problem. Dreyer of Greenwood estimates the repair to be $1,385; more than I paid for the tires. Had to replace a single tire on my wifes' van due to three screws in it, two in a shoulder. Since we were selling the van, decided to just replace all four, since they were under 50% tread anyways. I went ahead with an inexpensive tire, but it seems to roll down the road nicely, and smooth. They had to replace two broken wheel studs...one was my doing a while back, one broke during the visit. This place is a JOKE !!!!! I purchased 800 dollars worth of tires only to walk out of Walmart a week later to a flat. Had Walmart put my spare on and dropped my flat off (3 hour wait ) waited for there call to have me come and reinstall tire.... Never heard from them until I called!! Went the next morning to have tire installed... Only to wait another 45 minutes for the install. Left store and open up my truck to see they just threw the spare in the back of my Mini van instead of reinstalling it under the car as I was told this was the reason for my long wait!!!! Went back to have tire out under my car and have tires checked as they all seem to keep loosing air... Sat and waited a hour and 45 min for them to tell me they can't reinstall the tire underneath the car!!!! What???? When I get in my are the wrench had been thrown on the floor, the panel in the trunk is missing ... Only to find it under the nasty tire that has been thrown in the back of my van again!!! The really kicker !!!! Is I'm sitting at Toyota as we speak and I am now having to replace mechanism the spare because they stripped it !!! SERIOUSLY??? $230.00!!! On top of that... I was 1 of 3 unsatisfied customers stilling there with the leaky tire problem!!!! These people are untrained and unprofessional!!!!!! read more
