After coming out of work at Kroger and finding a flat, a coworker recommended I try Rays, limp my completely flat tire all the way there. At around 3pm the scraggly girl at the desk says oh no we are closing, I said can someone look at it as it would not take air from Kroger gas stations or circle k, the same scraggly girl tells me, no no one can help you I hear the compressor being decompressed for the night. First of all I grew up in a garage, second,being new in town with no one close to reach out to I was taken back with this scraggly girl FLAT OUT refused me ANY TYPE of service or interaction with the mechanics! In a rough spot,needed some air and they didn't hv 2 minutes to help! Literally left crying and limped over to MIDAS and THEY WERE SO KIND,DOORS STILL OPEN AT 3pm OH AND THE COMPRESSOR WAS NOT YET DECOMPRESSED!!! I WILL NEVER HAVE A GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT RAYS AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND RAYS...MIDAS SAVED MY DAY...AND RIDNT EVEN CHARGE FOR THE AIR THEY PUT IN FOR ME! Your scraggly girl needs to learn what actual customer service is or find a different job. That's a sour taste and SCRAGGLY GIRL left it!!!! Ray's Automotive gave me every reason to trust them. Two repairs so far on my 2014 Town and Country. The first was a slipping belt. They replaced just the belt, and told me they did not replace the tensioners as they were not making noise. The bill was a lot less expensive than I expected. They said come back if it makes noise. Well, it soon did make noise. I figured it was the tensioners. After they test drove it, they quizzed me about the circumstances when I heard the noise. They asked me if I thought maybe the noise came from the back. I realized I really couldn't tell where the noise occurred. They said they found brake problems in the back. One caliper was frozen, and the pads were worn down to 2mm. The other side was ok, with 8mm of the original 10mm remaining. They said I just needed to replace the pads and caliper on one side, the rotor was ok, and since it's on the rear, I didn't need to touch the other side. Compare this to a recent repair on my 2013 Accord by another shop. Exactly the same problem. The other shop told me I needed to replace pads, calipers, and rotors on both sides. The bill was almost triple what Ray's charged me for the Town and Country. I'm impressed. Honest and competent. Just what I'm looking for. read more

They send you a pretty comprehensive vehicle health report real time as they work on your car. They'll give you an honest assessment on anything that might need work or urgently needs work. Pro-Tip: Book your appointments online! The oil changes are done within 30 minutes, and the waiting room is nice (with TV & starbucks K cups / real half & half not some powdered crap). I drove my car from California to Indiana with no problems and then, of course, I hit something smaller, but unavoidable on the highway here and my low tire pressure light came on. My coworker recommended I go to Ray's since there is no Mazda dealership in Columbus and I'm so glad I did! After being new to Columbus I ask around about a dependable place to get my truck serviced, Rays kept popping up as a good place. They did a good job on an oil change and tire rotation as well as found a few thing that needed some attention that were warranted. Based on that experience I returned to have my wheel bearing replaced. They walked me through the type I would need and verified they could do it. All seemed well until I started to drive it on the Interstate and kept hearing a small noise. After taking to a dealership they were able to diagnosis the issue. Apparently during the wheel bearing install they cracked the vacuum covers for the 4x4 systems end caps on the front axle. Just over $700 dollars later to repair my truck drove like a new vehicle with no tinging sound which was the teeth of the rods touching but not engaging inside the axle. If I had not been persistent it could have ruined my 4x4 systems I do think Ray's is a good place to go for routine maintenance but some major jobs they are limited at performing at the same level a dealership or bigger shop can perform. read more

I have only had a couple oil changes here, but have recommended Ray's to others for more extensive engine and suspension work and they all have told me how pleased they were.
