Some friends and I did a beer tour of the Mills on a chilly Saturday. For lunch, we stopped at Tipsy Tomato. There's not tons of seating inside, but it wasn't busy so we sat near the kitchen where you watch them make the pizza. The woman taking orders (maybe the owner?) was friendly and patient as I decided what to get. I can put back some pizza, so I ordered the full size meat lover pie. For the price I figured I'd eat half and then take the rest home. The pizzas are big! They're also a happy medium between thin crust (not my favorite) and a thick crust. The pizza is a little pricey (mine came to about $30 with tip included), but the quality did make me feel that it was worth it. Would go back!

Came here today and absolutely slammed the personal Bianca pizza. My boyfriend had the carnivore which included ham, sausage, and pepperoni. The service was friendly and quick and food was available pretty quickly. I thought the price was fair for the quality and size of the pizza. Perfect place for a date or family outing. Indoor and outdoor (patio) seating, though the place is relatively small overall. Groups of more than 6 probably wouldn't sit comfortably in there, though there's a lot of space outside or around the Rocky Mount Mills campus. If I wasn't so stuffed from my pizza, I would have loved to try the various dessert pizzas they had. Today, there was a lemon blueberry one on special that consisted of vanilla ricotta and so much more! The regular s'mores and other pizzas seemed neat too. 10/10 recommend.

Hey Y'all here's the straight up real deal on this place.. 100% banging legit pie! im from philly and grew up in an Italian neighborhood soooh "this cool cuzino" know his pie like the moon in sky is amore ok... here's the break down: fresh mozzarella... fresh the sauce was simple and just a lil sweet the pepperoni was the lil cup kind veggies fresh.. and did not exude a lot of water into pie.. they stayed crispy get ready for the bomb .. the crust perfectly crispy & thin but not a dry tasteless cracker thing.. it's was also delightfully chewy Tipsy Tomato is "World Class" that's right i said it and stand on it... I Recommend This Place and will be coming back

I was in Rocky Mount this week and we get pizza from here Friday night(with what seemed like a 1,000 other people!) My friend and I ordered one of their speciality pizzas and it was sooooo good-the exact name of it escapes me, but it had bbq sauce, chicken, bacon and onions on it and the flavors were amazing! There was one woman managing all of the orders and she was working very hard, in face even the young guys making the food seemed to really be enjoying their job and really hustling! We were told it would be a 30 minute wait which I didn't think was bad for the crowd flow. I hate to say after 50 minutes and our food wasn't ready, I asked and was a bit disappointed that no one called our name to inform us the food was ready as we were seating in the restaurant the whole time. The pizza must have been sitting for a bit, bc the woman offered to heat it up for me, which I politely declined, bc I really just wanted to eat and not wait any longer. I know oversights occur, but if it wasn't for this little mishap I would have given them 5 stars instead pf 4. The pizza wad amazing!

Carry-out ordering via phone was a breeze. Tipsy Tomato was poppin'! Although limited, all indoor seating was occupied. Fear not, outdoor patio dining is available. May even be quite pleasant, as there was nearby outdoor live entertainment (music) at other establishments. During our brief wait, a line formed from the register to the front door. Cashier was extremely welcoming. Great customer service always adds to the overall experience. Our Carnivore was delicious!!! Not a morsel was wasted.

The pizza is so much better than I expected it to be. One of my best friend's was telling me how amazing the pizza was and I'm just like, "yeah, it's pizza, and it's from a brick oven; not an entirely new concept." Yeah, I was being a(n) ______ (insert your own expletive). We ordered a large pie and I inquired on the wait time. They do not skimp on the cooking time with any fast baking ingredients. There's a nice selection of brews, ample cider options and normal drinks as well. They offer a front porch (that's a patio for non-southerners) and a back patio open to dining. You could also opt to walk your meal and beverage (if you get in a plastic cup) to other areas on the Mills campus. The pizza arrived after about 20 minutes and it was absolutely perfect. Crisp but not too crispy. The cheese was melted but not stop stringy to where you feel like it's going to be caught in your throat when you try to swallow. The toppings were fresh. There's nothing left to say. I'll likely visit again before I leave.

When I opened my box, I noted that it appeared I had actually been given a calzone, that was super thin, barely had any cheese inside and was not fully cooked on top in the center. I tasted a piece and realized that it was indeed not thoroughly cooked as it tasted doughy. I called back and spoke to the young lady at the front register. She apologized and told me to bring it back. When I arrived back at Marina's, she asked if I wanted a replacement, something else or a refund. I told her that I'd get a refund. The lady that owns/runs the establishment was in the kitchen preparing food. The young lady took my food and showed it to her and informed her of my complaints and that I was requesting a refund. The owner began raising her voice at me from the kitchen, saying the food was cooked, couldn't I see that? I didn't respond to her, I just waited to see if I'd receive my refund. She walked from the kitchen, food in hand, still raising her voice, telling the young lady that this day was a day of complaints. She then turns to me and says that I must have paid too much money for the food and couldn't afford it and that's why I returned the food. I replied to her that I wouldn't have had food to return if I didn't have money to pay for it originally. She went on, ranting and raving, calling me stupid, suggesting that I call the health department if I felt like her food was uncooked. I told her that I didn't wish to argue with her, or see the need to call the health department, when she could just refund me my money and I could go on my way. I even apologized to her for her having a seemingly bad day, to which she replied that she was not having a bad day and that I was the problem. I told her that she was clearly having a bad day since she was insulting paying customers the way she was. I have been to this restaurant on many occasions and have never had an issue with anyone that works there, her included, and this was actually the first time I have had to return food. She's always given me a "thank you lady" farewell in past visits. I truly feel so disappointed in how I was treated and that I even went back and forth with her because I am not an argumentative person. After she gave the young lady the okay to refund me, she went on to tell me to do her a favor and not return, which she did not have to do, because after being verbally accosted like that, I have no plans on it. Even with Enfield having slim pickings on places to eat (which is to her advantage), she will not have to ever worry about my coins being spent with her! The food was better when her husband ran the place anyway and the food is overpriced for what you get! I gave 1 star because I couldn't leave it blank, and this terrible experience trumped all my other visits. I wish had taken a photo of the food but I didn't snap one; wasn't expecting the hoopla I received.

It is not fancy, but once you try something it is different. This is American Cooking but with a style that is special. See what awaits. When we went in I had worked up at the Rocky Point Markets for furniture both in the spring and the fall of each year. It was always filled with folks from everywhere to shop, and see and buy for the next season. There were plenty of places to have lunch. But when dinner came it was special. The local style of cooking was different. It might have the same meal as you would find in another region, but here it was different as it is based on the cook / chef. Tonight we stopped in and the person helping us was very special. She told us of what was available and what was not. She gave the details and let us order. First we had to have an Arnold Palmer. Naturally, it was different than the person down the block. This was not sweet as usually. It was an equal mike and perfect to have. It gave us something to think about. First up was the Mac & Cheese. But unlike normal Mac & Cheese, with this we ordered shrimp. Not what you expect, this was unique. The Mac & Cheese was a combination of fresh pasta and mixed with four different types of cheese. It was mixed together with a cream and butter. It was not a firm mix but a mix that was moist and tasty with each bit you took. That alone was a meal unto itself. Being mixed with shrimp was different. The shrimp where not small. They were a good size. And there was almost a dozen mixed in. They were not placed onto. Being mixed in they aded to the flavor and taste. There was no spices. Just fresh shrimp with pasta and a cheese mix. A dip of bread helped to take it all in. Next we did have Baby Back Ribs. These were very fresh and tasty. Cooked to the right point hthey literally fell off the bone itself with the touch of a fork. The taste was slightly mixed with honey. Sweet but spicy. Naturally had to have some home made coleslaw with this. Plus an order of sweet potato fries. And these were fresh. Alone with a drink these would have been a good snack to have together. I could have had another plate of these alone. The two dishes were perfect. Yet, we did need to have dessert when the couple at the next table ordered it and shared it. This was Bread Pudding, topped with vanilla ice cream and served with Bourbon sauce. This was heaven itself. You did not need more. There people could have shared this one item. Again, it was freshly made and warm. Ideal. The ice cream was made that morning. And, as for the bourbon, you could have had a glass of this. Spread over the bread pudding it was how we sometime drink an Irish Coffee. Had to have that taste with each bite. Overall, this was a special place to for a meal. It was truly unique for the region and for the chef. The team was a great help. The price was great. As for the people who were there, it was packed. Many came from the places where they are creating the new furniture and items that will be on display for the next market in Rocky Point for next spring. They knew where the place is and what to order. It is truly the right spot for a good meal. It is worth the visit next time I am in town.
