    Tito's

The Cove plaza has this old bar called Tipperary Pub and went here today for a cocktail for the first time. The bartender poured me TWO strong Tito's and soda water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only a few patrons around the bar but it was obvious that it was a locals only hang out since the bartender knew everyone by first name.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing fancy here at all but I don't think it is supposed to be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun crowd and strong drinks which is the perfect combination.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here after being next door for happy hour. To me it is a dive bar - we had so much fun! We ordered drinks and played darts. Who would have ever thought I would be doing that on a Saturday night? But expect the unexpected. The only thing I would say is that it's more of an experience to come and hang than to expect anything! This is a place where you can play pool, darts or just have a drink! It's in the cove so parking is tough! But have fun with your friends and go!

This place should have received at least 3 stars ... Noel, the bartender was great -- personable and efficient; she even was apologetic for the crazies at the other end of the bar -- who she had no control over. And the food was decent, too. So what was the problem? The country music (in an IRISH pub?!!) was blaring away and the drunk gal was singing extremely loudly and off key in between yelling ***k over and over. Three different guys bought one beer and left as soon as they could. My husband's harp was ice cold in an ice cold glass and he might have had another...while i tried their carrot cake for dessert, but we couldn't wait to leave and restore our hearing. They had a nice number of specials for the day. My husband had their meatloaf. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was very good, he said. I had their coconut shrimp appetizer. It was okay --"institutional", but the fried brussel sprouts that i had were tasty little sweet charcoal bits that I really liked. This would be a great place to laze away a rainy day -- may be playing pool and having some drrinks and food. It's got so much potential, but if they don't correct the music and limit the drunk lady (I gather she's a regular and known for her outbursts), then I'll pass...

In the mood for some Pub food (Irish works) so we decided to give a try. There a few tables on the floor sharing space with pool tables. We sat at the bar. Today there was "Live" singing, (whether you wanted it or not!), provided by one of the local bar flys. Our server was Noel and she gave us menus and a list of the day's specials,(along with an apology for the gratuitous yammering). I ordered the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, brown gravy and steamed broccoli. An ice cold Harps was my beverage of choice and helped block out (a little), the constant belting out every C&W tune she had lined up on the wireless jukebox. My food was great... the Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and brown gravy cooked perfectly along with the tender steamed broccoli. We would have stayed longer to enjoy another Harps draft and try a slice of their carrot cake but MTG had just launched into another set with increased volume. Food and service were great but the "ambiance" was less than desirable.

Cocktails sign draws you in to The Tip!

It might not seem like it from the outside, but it is a total casual bar atmosphere with friendly bartenders inside The Cove Shopping Center. There are just not bars like this anymore and I love it. The other cool thing about this place is the sparkly white Cocktails sign at the front that is hard to miss. I wish they put the sign on a T-shirt with their saying, "making pour decisions since 1975." There are pool tables, two dart boards, shuffle board, a juke box and a few TVs. The Tip also has good food throughout the day and night. There are regulars and out of town guests, but everyone seems welcome. Probably about 8 beers on tap, cocktails and beers to go if needed. There is a large bar, which sees plenty of action with tables and bar stools all around with some tables outside. It's also pretty common to see calm dogs wandering the premises. Cheers!

Dive bar that provides fast, efficient service. Bartenders were quick. Lots of seating at tables and long bar. Pool tables available for play.

    Horrible Food that's expensive.

Thought I'd go for a take out burger. Asked for medium cooked Was not medium Paid $18.00 for a burger the size of the inside of my palm. Literally. Small to say the least. Tasted like ..... it. Worse yet. It took 30 mins ? The place was empty. I can see why it's empty now. Never again. Could have gone to the cove across from them for $20 beautiful and got a big tasty burger with choice of side.

Great pub. My first stop was on a Saturday morning around 9 am and we were looking for breakfast. We heard the music outside and decided to stop in and strategize on where to get breakfast, thinking some orange juice (and vodka) would help the thought process. The bartender Noelle was great and the regulars were friendly. What's more important, they have breakfast!! I got and order of eggs, sausage, toast and sausage gravy and a biscuit. My companion got scrambled eggs and toast. Both were way better than anticipated. The next day we visited in the afternoon for another great visit. Staff is excellent, business is clean and professional. Great Irish pub!

Thursday night at an Irish pub with Guinness and pool. From the outside, you could tell it's a local pub. Regulars are at the bar. We were at the only table seated near the door. Free darts. Pool was such a deal! $1 per game or $5 for 6 games. No quarters needed. Somehow, we got 7 games. Parking was a breeze, because it was in a shopping center, unlike the venues at the beach where the stress of parking deters my visits. Staff was friendly. Bar probably needs more Irish beers. I would go for the billiards and hanging with friends.

I was the only one ordering a beer, so I handed her my ID. Instead of simply checking it and handing it back, she slapped my ID back onto the bar and then proceeded to ID my boyfriend, who wasn't even ordering a drink. She then told him his ID was expired. If his ID was expired, fine but why was he being ID'd in the first place when he wasn't ordering alcohol? & just wanted to eat...... And the attitude and way my ID was handled was completely unnecessary. We've never had an issue here before, which is why this stood out so much. It's one thing to do your job and check IDs. It's another thing to make paying customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable for no reason. We came in to eat and have a drink, not deal with an attitude. Hopefully management addresses this, because one employee can absolutely ruin an otherwise good experience.

However, on this particular day we chose subsistence for our appetites. Now, we usually go on Prime Rib Monday- when we are going there to eat. We prefer it over Bonefish Mac's Prime Rib Monday (but they are both good). Briny also has specials on Tuesday and Wednesday (one day is Mahi tacos). But, le sigh, this was a Thursday. The place was pretty packed at 5:30 pm.m. with only a couple of open tables. There were a few families and some elderly people and then your typical "salt of the earth" people. Just another day at Briny. The local staff were all present and greeted us with smiles and "Hey- how have you been(s)? They are all very friendly and work well together and know the locals. My son chose the nachos - he is not a big sea food person. They are some very good nachos and I recommend get extra sour cream next time. My husband went with "my" usual order of fish fingers (mahi in a panko breading) and fries. Can never go wrong with this order- solid choice. I went with something I have never had here before- the Mahi Reuben (blackened). I got tator tots with it. Mixing things up! It was very tasty and unique. Something a little different. Then, the guy behind us with his 3 kids (2 in a wagon- haha) and his wife stood up, looked at my husband and said- "Get the fish and chips! It's amazing!" Well, my husband had been pining over that decision because that is his usual order but he was trying something different. However, this was the Briny Pompano family man whispering to go with old faithful. It was fate! It was meant to be. The atmosphere aligned at the corner of Atlantic and A1A. Oh waitress!!! Another order! The fish and chips were amazing. Just like the fatherly Briny whisperer said - Cod in a beer batter. Light and flakey and add that malt vinegar with tarter sauce...yummo!! (IMO- Briny tarter sauce is better than Flannigans). And, don't forget to add the malt vinegar to the ketchup for the fried and extra pepper! A great feast was had by all and we all went home happy and with leftovers. Get down to the Briny for where the magic meets the sea. Get some dinner, listen to live music, get up and dance and breathe that salty air. Live a little and meet some new people! Good times had by all.
