Don't ever bother calling this place. Person who answers is just rude and disinterested in being helpful.

This hidden gem…read morein Montgomery Bell State Park is packed with history, and it's one of the coolest spots I've explored. Built in the early 1800s, this tunnel was carved by hand to transport iron ore for a thriving industry. But what makes it even more special is the story behind it--enslaved people worked here, and their efforts helped shape the future of Tennessee. It's crazy to think that something so important is tucked away in the middle of the woods, just waiting to be discovered! https://www.tiktok.com/@reessroots/video/7535575693854297374?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7352687494821037610 The tunnel is almost 300 feet long, and standing inside it feels like stepping back in time. You can almost hear the echoes of the past! Most people are out there hitting all the usual tourist spots, but places like Montgomery Bell Tunnel are the ones that actually make you feel something. If you're into history, adventure, or just exploring off the beaten path, this is definitely the place to be. Skip the crowded tourist traps and head to Montgomery Bell Tunnel for some real history! Trust me, you'll be talking about it long after you leave. #HiddenGems #HistoryUncovered #ExploreTennessee

Foggy Bottoms is a super cute spot with tons of charm and very friendly staff. We arrived to check in (no reservation) at 10:30am and the staff gave us a very honest warning that water levels were SUPER low. They explained the pain points of canoeing in such low water levels very thoroughly, but despite the warnings, we decided to give a go and I'm so glad we did! Because of the staffs transparency, we knew what to expect and we were prepared to encounter a few spots along the way that gave us a little trouble. All in all, it wasn't bad at all! We spent 6 hours on this 3 hour ride making tons of stops along the way to float in the inter tubes we brought along with us. Had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

I've camped with them and kayaked and it's a great experience all around! Plenty of parking, then they shuttle you to the starting point of the river. Once they get your boat into the water you make your way back and it's just such a gorgeous way to spend a summer or fall day! Pack a lunch and paddle away! Staff is kind. Fellow canoe-ers and kayak-ers are fun to talk to along the way. I think my only complaint would be that many large groups go and sometimes just sit in the middle of the river in a clump and it can be difficult to get around them. That however, is not Foggy Bottoms fault. If you are looking to get outside and do something active I highly recommend you use FB. They are convenient and a great way to spend your day. Can't wait to come back soon.

The location was really easy to find, once we arrived we checked in and were offered some general information about what to do and the location of changing rooms/restrooms. We were also given instructions about the route we would be floating, the vast collection of mussels we may see, and information about other wildlife we may come across, and safteg information. The launch is a quick drive from the base location. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. They got us all set up and sent us on our way. The water was shallow, but still had some nice current in places. The Duck River was extremely peaceful, and not over crowded (the spacing out between groups from Higher Pursuits helped with that greatly). Getting picked up at the end, and knowing where to stop was also made to be a breeze. Higher Pursuits runs things like a well oiled machine and really has a great system going! Between the ease of everything, the peaceful kayaking location, and the friendly customer service I could not have asked for a better experience!

We made reservations for 9:30 AM on a Saturday morning as we wanted to get ahead of the crowds on the river and we did just that! The folks at Canoe Music City were all super chill, friendly and helpful from the window to the water. Most of us rented canoes, while a few of us rented the kayaks. I will say the ones who rented the kayaks had a better time, as the canoes were a bit smaller than I am used to and the balance was easy to throw off. But, they got us to and from and down the river as needed, so we weren't too upset! They have differing lengths you can cruise, we chose the 5 mile. The price for a canoe is $55 while the Kayak will run you $45 each. Just as all the other spots, they load you up at the cabin, drive you a few miles to the drop point and then pick you up at the end point. It is a pretty seamless process, just make sure someone has their phone as you do have to call to be picked up at the end. Not that Music City Canoe has anything to do with the river itself, but there are several spots along the trek that allows you and your group to pull off and relax whether it be at the gorgeous waterfall or the small beach. We spent a total of 4.5 hours lazily cruising down the river and we loved every minute of it! Oh, and for those who are wondering...you can bring your dogs and booze is allowed on the river. And you can bring your own kayak/canoe, but they do charge you to transport it to and from with your group. Overall, great way to spend a weekend day!

You can make a reservation without providing a credit card number which is nice for big groups and the pricing isn't bad at all. The only negative would be the wait at the drop off site to get into the river and the vans they transport you in need a little more loving. We always have a blast and the scenery is so beautiful. They have a 5 mile and 7 mile float, we've always done the 7 mile and it's perfect. Plenty of stops along the way to eat or relax in the water. I can't wait for our next trip.

It was the wrong battery part complained about the absorbinant bill was told by Brett that there was nothing that could be done. I really felt that there should have been some form of return compensation for the amount of bill that I paid. I was not expecting the whole bill to be credited but just the fact that the boat never ran was upsetting. We've now sold the boat and have had no financial return or physical pleasure from driving that boat. It was a waste of time and money. If you use this company, be sure you check out their rates and fees before giving them the boat and have them give you an approximate time that the boat will be ready and if it's not ready then pull it because they're going to charge you more and more money. I will not go back to that company again..
