So the play that I went to see was a play that was performed at The Forum a couple years ago, and I skipped out on it because I was broke at the time. I was excited that there was a cheaper version coming to EPAC, I thought that it was the same group of traveling semi-pro actors but at a smaller venue. I was wrong. This was amateur hour. There were a couple good actors in the group, but the rest of em were about as good as the average high student. They were all local but most of them have a long way to go before they make it big. A couple of them were over-acting, they were very melodramatic. The main character was good, but the character was supposed to be an angsty teen and it was played by a bald guy in his 30's! The sound was a nightmare too, some characters' mics weren't working while other ones were too loud and there was a lot of microphone feedback too. The actor who started the play off came in off cue, and it was a huge struggle for me to not burst out laughing during the first song. So unfortunately I was very underwhelmed with my first theater experience here, I'm in zero rush to go back. The theater itself looks really nice, but it's a little unorganized, there seemed to be a lot of confusion as to where people were supposed to sit, but that might not have been the theater's fault, it was probably dumb audience members. The play was $20 and really it should have only been $10 because of the bad quality of the show.

Not to mention keeping up a land mark building who's trying to be a leader in a dying community...I wouldn't listen to negative reviews about epac. Please go and support local community theater. Crowbar is officially the best hangout space in Binghamton right now!…read more Nestled in a nook between State St. and Washington St., when you walk in the first thing you see is their incredible display of old LCD TVs circling the bar area, which really sets the tone for the vintage gaming aesthetic. Everything about this place is on-theme, right down to the items on the menu. While the food is definitely bar fare, don't underestimate it; every single one of their offerings is crafted to perfection! My favorites include the Sauer Loser hotdog (mouth-watering combo of sauerkraut and mustard on all beef franks) and the Flamin' Hot Smothered Cheetos (an elevated take on the spicy snack)! As for drinks, they have a fun array of game-themed cocktails and mocktails. Yes, you heard right, mocktails! And they are all incredible. My favorite is the Wowza Bowzer mocktail, which has a little bit of a kick with habanero bitters. The Waka-Waka-Waka cocktail (mule) features a Pac-Man shaped lemon slice eating a cherry, which is a fun touch! But, as we know, we come for the food and stay for the games, so what's available? Well, they have over 30 vintage games ranging from arcade classics like PacMan and Mortal Combat to more interactive favorites like DDR, hoops, and racing games (check out their website for a full listing). Plus, a couple pool tables and a few chill spots in the 2-story location (which includes a few quiet nooks with seating between the floors). While this space is definitely kid-friendly, it is only open to 21+ after 9pm, which provides a great experience for families and night crawlers alike!

We were there for a while because I was doing a 2 color polka dot pattern on my mug that took a little bit of time. The environment was nice and though it was a little crowded we still managed to find a place to sit with lots of options. My disappointment actually stems from the final product I picked up. I picked two specific colors for my pattern, blue and green, and made the cup black. I asked the woman working multiple times about the colors and with the dots if I needed to go over them multiple times to make sure the color came out right. I was told no and that the pattern and colors looked great and would turn out great. To my surprise when I picked up my cup there was not a single drop of blue anywhere to be seen. Not even a little bit. I am so sad and disappointed because I had not only specifically asked about the colors but if I would have known the blue would not have shown I would have went with a different color. The cup to me looks like it's missing something, because it is, but other people seem to like it. But I'm just super disappointed and wish that when I had asked I would have been told that's not a color you can do with black. Because I obviously had no idea and spent a good amount of time trying to make it perfect. I wanted to include pictures to show what it looked like when I left it and when I picked it up. If I can recommend anything it's for the employees to help with transparency when helping people start their project and expectations on that. I paid for 2 mugs that day so almost $50 and I just got disheartened when I picked mine up. I would still recommend this place as it's super cute and is still a fun day activity. Just wish I would have known about the colors while painting.
