The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and cut me off mid-sentence. I can only imagine what the children have to deal with.

After not being able to have children for over 15 years, I prayed that God show us a place where my child would be loved, taught, made friends, and care for as well or better than us. The directors, Ms.Shannon and Ms.Christina have been amazing; they answer all my million and one questions, and take the time to get to know our family and my daughter. They interact with all children, staff and parents in a professional and God loving way. My daughter's teachers, Ms.Mary, Ms.Yolanda and Ms.Makaila have the gift of patience and love for the children. I get to see on the cameras the interaction as they play, teach, and love each of the kids in the class. I often see the teachers running in the play ground, dancing with the children in the classroom and giving comforting hugs when a child needs it. My daughter is a picky eater and newly potty trained, so the teachers have taken extra steps to assist my daughter to ensure she eats and continues to thrive in going to the potty. We love picking up our 3 year old daughter and hearing about her day and how much she loves her school, teachers and classmates. This school also offers after hours care under the direction of Ms.Lindsey, who deals with a range of ages from 3yr olds to the afterschoolers She has activities to keep the children engaged after a long day, and I have seen her assisting with homework. My daughter sometimes joins her class if we have to work a little late and weather we pick her up or not, she has to go into Ms.Lindsey's class to hug her and say good bye for the day. We have also been able to join school activities such as Meet the teacher day, 1:1 touch bases with the teachers and directors, The amazing fall festival, the Halloween school parade and classroom party. All have been very well planned and detailed to include all children, staff and the families. As The Holidays approach, the school has other planned activities and we can't wait. God truly took our family to the right place and we are grateful for UKA.

Jeanette the "director" is hardly ever in her office or there in general. I withdrew her due to them never communicating I was behind a week of payment because she did not attend after she got sick after having her there 1 week. This was my first time putting my child in any type of child care since she had been born and this was a terrible experience. I thought that because I paid out of pocket that I can trust that these people actually cared about the well being of children and not just money but this is far from the truth. The office staff is always lounging eating by the front while the teachers seem to be busting their butts in the classroom. The director never even called me to explain or even apologize on the lack of communication based on THEIR part. They make you do a $300 enrollment/app/ and supplies when you first enroll. Again my daughter never even got a cubby and they were unprepared for her the first day we took her. Don't give this place your money invest it somewhere they actually care. Do not let the splash pad fool you.

The location is close to our home so was a convenient choice. It is not the least expensive place (I'm assuming) but you get what you pay for and I have no issues paying extra to protect my most precious belongings. I would state cost as only potential negative. I am a big believer in policy and procedure is best for situations where you don't know the individual watching your kiddos. La Petite is obviously a nationwide provider and seems to have all their systems in place. I have friends in other states who also use them and have been equally satisfied with their experiences. The teachers are fully accredited. As a parent to one Pre-K aged child I was happy to learn this and thrilled with the development progress and structure it gave us as we prepped for entering Kindergarten. I can confidently say my 5 year old entered school with all the skills she will need to have a very easy year. We LOVE the staff. Took a break this summer for time away with family and were thrilled to return and see almost all the same familiar faces. Diane the director is wonderful. Nikita (might be wrong?) is also an administrator and equally pleasurable to deal with. We had Miss Rebecca and Miss Nellie as our pre-k teachers. Miss Rebecca once went out on her lunch break to buy a change of clothes after an accident my daughter had. Above and beyond behavior like this is the norm at this school. Miss Nellie has moved onto a role at a public school. Good for her and good for the staff to not say anything condescending and express nothing buy sincere joy for her new change. I walked twice daily through two additional toddler aged classrooms. I never saw or heard anything other than calm, patient, clear directives. They put my frazzled at times self to shame. My school ager gets her homework done AND enjoys some outside recreation time before I arrive. Daniella and others make this high energy room work well for kids that need to excerpt a lot of energy after school at an age range where personalities are big and sometimes attitudes and rebellion occurs. My bullet proof 5 year old had a very minor playground incident resulting in a trip to the doctor. Entirely my child's fault and to be expecting raising kids. Top to bottom the incident, insurance, follow up by La Petite as well as the state was all above and beyond my expectations. I have been very thrilled with their hours and flexibility on care. You can drop off as early as 6:30 am and they provide private transportation to school. You may pickup as late as 6:30pm. As a very busy full time mom balancing a very busy career, this is a key element. Overall yeah the parking is tight and prices are a bit high but on the points of difference between your other options La Petite is a huge winner. Best of luck!

They left two children outside in the Texas heat. bc they forgot about them not being responsible & doing head count. Mr. Austin kissed my 5 year old on her cheek which is 100% inappropriate and who the heck does that. The daycare did nothing. I called Cps but they did nothing either. My 2 year old came home with nail marks under his arm and yet no one knew anything and couldn't give me an answer about who did it. Teachers don't last here at all. A new teacher every two weeks & the ones they hire think their baby sitting. One teacher didn't like changing pampers. That same teacher kicked a 2 year olds cot while he was sleep & when asked about he said he was trying to wake the child up. That same teacher was constantly seen on his phone & when I reported It. They said they had a talk w him. That same teacher left the kids unsupervised during nap to go into the restroom for a full 8 minutes bc I watched & also immediately complained. But the director made excuses again. I'm in the middle of transferring my child I dont Trust these people. They constantly call about having to pick up my child bc they see a red bumps that "may be HFM". When I get My child there's absolutely no bumps. It's been stressful. Their breakfast sucks. It'll be like a banana and dry cheerios. That's it. Or a bagel alone.the director lies always trying to find a way to make him get the heat instead of owning up and taking accountability. When you watch on the camera the kids are always crying and the teacher always passes by them ignoring them not even comforting them. They claim we are past due on a balance n my kid can't return but yet when I ask For an invoice of how they are getting a total of $411 no one knows. When it was all said and done and had to go receipt by receipt turns out it was only $100 in late pick ups over the months that they didn't tell me about. They are unprofessional. Inconsiderate and inconsistent. Save yourself the headache and don't trust these people w your children. They hire babysitters. My son been there since he was 11 months and now he's 2. They would ignore me on the daycare app. When I would see my child running w no shoes or socks. When I would pick him up another teacher told me "girl they let him run outside w no shoes" when I saw my sons feet when we left the daycare he had cuts from mulch on the bottom. And never would return his socks. He would come home in other peoples pampers. The wipes I'd take would be gone in 2 days from using yhem on everyone. Smh It's went down hill since. The whole daycare needs a new staff

The morning teachers always helped with what was, at first, a difficult transition with the youngest child. Before long it became pick up that was difficult because they were having so much fun. My 4 year old is even reading already and I partly credit the teachers with that! I love that they offer the A-Beka curriculum; additionally they offer Spanish and music lessons. As if that weren't enough to keep the kids busy, they also have a dance school, STEM based education classes, and a gymnastic bus that goes to the Reed Rd location once a week all at prices that don't break the bank. As parents it is important to us to have our kids at a place that is more than just a daycare, we want to make sure they are learning at every opportunity and with our busy schedules I like that they can do gymnastics at school. The learning environment, teachers, and staff are exceptional. Our kids are well cared for, feed, and educated. We are so happy we found The Pillars and I am thankful every day that they take such great care of our little ones.

They continue to let the children bite innocent children that have no say because they are too young to express the hurt. Greed is not running a good business when children are being bit ... 4 bites in 5 days ... that's what has been happening to my grandson... since being here he's been bitten 18+ times!!! What would you do when as a single mom that has to keep her child in daycare???

Right from the start of school, there were some major issues - not enough teachers, the school director wasn't on top of things, and the school was all over the place. While my child was there for about a year and a half (I didn't have other choices at the time), she went through a lot of things that I thought were really not okay. The teachers always had excuses that didn't really make sense. What really upset me was when my child came home with marks one day. She had marks that looked like they were from an adult's nails, but they said it could have been from a bush or another kid's hand. I had already talked to the state about problems before, but I didn't see any improvements. The school director and the person in charge of the area just gave me excuses. Nothing worse than your child lifting their arm and saying "dada ouch, dada ouch" over and over. Because of what she went through from the start, my child started biting as a way to protect herself from all the bad stuff. I had cameras on her all day, so I know how often it happened. But the teachers didn't seem to notice as usual. After an investigation, they kicked my child out for biting. On that same day, we got a call from a much better school nearby. Since she moved there, my child is doing so much better - learning more, talking and signing better. I really think the old school and its staff were holding her back. If I could rate that place, I'd give it a 0 for all the awful stuff we had to deal with. Do your child a favor and stay away from here.

Though there has been some staff changes over the years, I have always known that my son was with adults who cared for him. (Shout out to Miss Dalys, Miss Tanya, Miss Joell, Miss Annie, Mr. Luis, Miss Esia, and Miss Karen! Just a few of the people who have always been SO, SO sweet to us!) In the fall of 2019 we did transition to public school for kindergarten (I work for the local ISD), but we always knew we would want to come back each summer. Fast forward to 2020 and we are in the midst of a global pandemic! My son's public school experience transitioned to online and we were both feeling cabin fever BIG TIME. I was so relieved to find out that Pinnacle was able to remain open after they made adjustments to their procedures in order to combat the spread of COVID. My son returned to Pinnacle for their summer camp offering this June and July and we are so happy to have him there. He is ecstatic to be back - he loves all of his friends there as well as the teachers, old and new. Every Sunday he tells me that is he "so excited for school!" The teachers and staff are helpful and responsive to any concerns. The Montessori environment is an amazing choice for your child! My son went to kindergarten very well-prepared - not only academically, but also with important social-emotional and life skills. This short post is simply not enough to describe how great our experience at Pinnacle has been. However, storing cots in bathrooms(major red flag)completely unacceptable! As an early childhood educator with over 20 years of professional experience, this practice has never been allowed and raises serious health, safety, and licensing concerns. Programs should strive to exceed minimum standards--not settle for what is considered "acceptable" in Texas. This mindset is part of why Texas ranks so low nationally in education. Parents need to pay close attention to these details. Additionally, communication with assistant teachers needs significant improvement. The level of care and oversight from the lead teacher to assistants in the afternoon is lacking and needs immediate attention. After school care providers never seem to know what going on. Get to know your kids, on an individual level, know their needs and pay attention. Toddlers/preschoolers should not be without water especially during snack or meal times.

RPA is like homeschooling on steroids. The kids get a concentrated education, learn more than they ever would in public school and are free from distractions and bad behavior. One of the reasons we didn't want our kids going to public school is the lack of parental accountability for children's discipline and behavior. I love that RPA recognizes kids have bad days but does not tolerate ongoing discipline issues that distract from the classroom and influence other kids to behave the same way. The parents have built a unique community and often spend time together on the playground after school while the kids play. It is Little House on the Prarie meets modern-day San Antonio.

I've hesitated to write this review for some time, but after seeing recent allegations against the…read moreschool, I feel it is important to share my experience. While our first year was smooth, the second year revealed systemic issues in how the school is managed and how they are dismissive serious student concerns. There were 4 primary areas of concern that led to me pulling my child from this school- Inappropriate Spiritual Guidance: My child was told by the Pastor's wife that if he wasn't a "good kid," his heart would become "dirty" and he would die. Using fear and mortality as a disciplinary tool for a young child is spiritually and emotionally damaging. Academic Management: Despite a very small class size of only six students, a significant amount of classwork was consistently sent home for me to supervise and correct. I was told this was to prevent him from losing recess which i didn't agree with at all , but with a 6:1 student to teacher ratio, I expected the educator to be able to manage individual student progress and corrections during school hours. Response to Bias : One of the most upsetting incidents involved a student telling my son to "go back to his country." When I requested a meeting to discuss how the school promotes an inclusive environment, the response from leadership was dismissive. Instead of addressing the harm caused, the Principal stated they "don't talk about race" and her dad/ the Pastor of the church on campus proceeded to share a tone-deaf anecdote about owning an "Aunt Jemima" cookie jar and not understanding why a visitor found it offensive. Lastly, My child was not served lunch one day and went the entire day with only a snack. When questioned, the teacher blamed my son for "not speaking up." He later told me he was too embarrassed to ask because the teacher had been threatening the class all week that they "wouldn't get pizza" if they didn't behave. Using food as a bargaining chip or threat is cruel. Lack of Accountability: When I informed the Principal we were leaving, there was no concern for my childs well-being or the reasons for our departure. The immediate response was that "per the handbook, tuition is still due for two months." It became clear that the administration and faculty --which is heavily insulated by family ties--is not at all equipped to handle modern social dynamics or provide a supportive, inclusive atmosphere. Issues are swept under the rug rather than addressed with the transparency and growth one would expect from an educational institution.
