Any time I've had a concern, the front desk members have been quick to respond and they have always followed through with whatever plan we have come up with. I would recommend this location to anyone with kids from newborn to 2 years old as that is all I have experienced so far and have been incredibly happy.

On my son's second day, he was taken outside with the other kids without his jacket on a very cold day. Even the staff/teachers all wore their jackets and were shivering. All the other students also had their jackets on except my son. When my husband asked one of the teachers why he wasn't wearing his jacket, she lied and said that he kept taking it off. We know our son and know that he never takes his jacket off so we knew this was a lie. When my husband told her this, she apologized for lying. I'm still mind-blown that a teacher would neglect to sufficiently suit up a 2 year old for the cold and then lie about it. We also watched their classroom on their Live stream and noticed that they don't actually have (more than 15 minutes of day of) structured learning. The kids are just running around all day and my son looked completely lost and neglected the whole time as none of the teachers made him feel welcome or included. In addition, they serve kids fruit loops and frosted flakes even though those cereals have long since been considered the worst things you can feed kids. When I brought this up to the Director, she sounded indifferent. This daycare was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend that you put the health of your kid in jeopardy by enrolling them there.

I love their use of the communication app and love receiving updates and photos of her day. If there's ever anything urgent, they call so they're sure I'm notified and she has already learned more than I could ever teach her while working. She comes home teaching me the songs and dances she learns in class, has an amazing vocabulary and already knows so many words in ASL that I hope to continue with her. Forever grateful to LODS and their amazing teachers!

Every person there truly treats your children as their own. Ms. Jeanette, Ms. Tenni, Ms. Mellie, and every teacher there are literal angels! I remember the anxiety I had when I began searching for a daycare for my first daughter, but when I walked into Little Oaks that all completely melted away. The way learning and love is incorporated there is something that I have not seen at any other facility. My daughters and my whole family have felt so special and heard and taken care of during our time at Little Oaks and that is a gift that I will always treasure. My daughters have had such amazing hands on learning opportunities while there, including growing their own plants, milking cows with a dairy farmer, and learning from first responders-just to name a few! My daughter and I felt so confident when she started kindergarten because we had no doubts that she was ready both socially and academically because of how thorough LODS had been in preparing her. I have referred countless people to LODS over the years and I will continue to do so even when my daughter ages out this year. If you are considering childcare for your kids, look no further than Little Oaks Discovery School!

I rebuke my last review!!…read more I do not recommend sending any two year old here, for a Christian School the behavior of the kids biting have no consequences and never take action. They continue to let the children bite innocent children that have no say because they are too young to express the hurt. But as long as they get their weekly pay that's all that matters to this childcare facility! Greed is not running a good business when children are being bit ... 4 bites in 5 days ... that's what has been happening to my grandson... since being here he's been bitten 18+ times!!! What would you do when as a single mom that has to keep her child in daycare???

Her teachers have been great and always provide updates on how her day went. You do need an app to unlock the front and back door which gave us a great sense of security and there are observation windows outside the infant classrooms and classroom cams in the lobby in case you want to check on you kiddo without any disruption. There is also an app where we were provided updates, when our daughter was fed, changed and any learning activities for that day/week (along with pictures)!! I can't say enough great things about Pillars on Reed road and I wish we didnt have to leave but so happy that we were able to enroll our little for the short remaining time we have left here.

Im a single mom and this was a new STEM school I wanted my kid to have a better education, BIG MISTAKE!!! The school has Stranger walking around "fixing the school" but you can't walk YOUR KID to class before 730. You can only leave them at the door and hope they wall straight to class. the girls bathroom put their tissues lon the dirty floor and expects the girls to wipe with it. The teachers are always on their phones never paying attention to the children outside. My son was bullied by MULTIPLE STUDENT in his class and in their after school care (they allow all ages together and put them in a room until 630) one girl put my daughter finger in a pencil sharpener and cut her hand the teacher said NOTHING until I got there and she didn't clean it or put a bandaid on it. I brought up the incidents to the teachers and principal I was told we couldn't switch classes and slowly after that my children became targets. Every time my son tried to tell on the student (they pulled his hair called him names pushed him down) HE WAS PUNISHED; they made him move his clip and even put him in ISS even took his jacket on one of the coldest days in San Antonio (even tho other students were allowed to wear their jackets due to the weather). Their iss is CREAPY (He had to sit ALONE in the male principals office all day in the back of the school just him and this random man, mind you this is a new school we haven't known any of these teacher previously) that made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, it felt like the principal was looking to put my son in iss for anything now, at our other school he was a star student; straight As NEVER been in trouble; thats why I wanted to challenge him with a STEM school but safe to say we're going back to our previous school and I'll be contacting the school board about this HORRIBLE schools practice. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEYtotthwt
