As a former teacher myself I realize that teachers teach differently-some can reach the student and some cannot. However, The constant irritation through our experience at Fell was the principal. She cared more for her reputation than the students and parents she was responsible for. As a former principal myself, I find she does not embrace the best practices for an administrator. The final straw came during his last year at Fell during the pandemic when most of the instruction was virtual. His teacher made many comments to him that were heard and would be considered bullying. The principal was informed of this but did nothing to help the situation. I would not recommend Fell Charter School to educate your child.

My children perfectly described a lockdown situation at school and I confirmed it with another…read moremother whose children described the same thing. When I called and asked the principal about it she said there was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happening that day. They went so far as to have the driveway blocked off with teachers vehicles but she said it was because of the weather. The drivers picking the kids up described a very odd situation, not weather related at all. Parents were never informed about what happened and the principal basically said my children were imagining everything. I do not trust her and in searching found out that as of 2015 she didn't have her principal certification yet. Seriously research before sending your kids here. Something not above board going on.
