Seeking Shalom Acres raises her pups in the home with her husband and nine children. As a result, my puppy was already well socialized and confident, and nearly 100% potty trained. I have never experienced bringing a puppy home and after just two days was successfully going potty on her wee pads 90% of the time. It was the easiest transition/training period ever! They work with rescue partners, fosters, and adopters - and their kill-rate is around 25% each month. Again, this is Memphis Tennessee - a city that is estimated to have a stray dog population of well over 15,000. In the circulating article regarding the Danville Humane Society, they quote their euthanasia rate at 59%. That is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable. Not one thing about a 59% euthanasia rate for a facility this size, nor a community this size, is humane or ethical. Why is their euthanasia rate over 6 times the statewide average of 9%? Who is dropping the ball at this facility and costing animals their lives?

This shelter has a three decade history of euthanizing animals at 4 to 6 times the rate of other…read moreshelters in the state. I just recently got Yelp and noticed the terrible review for them and had to chime in as I had the complete and opposite interaction and results as the reviewing party. Even when I'd contact them with questions about training and food, they were friendly and quick to respond. Someone even reported that they have closed down, which they haven't and are still in business.

I have know idea how they got on the preferred AKC breeder list. My puppy from Balto & Demi liter 9/16 has had multiple Medical and Dental issues. Type II Malocclusion, lower canines were going into upper palate. The lower canines had to be lowered. Cost $1500... My dog is 18 months old has been lame in the left front leg several times. Diagnosis.... left elbow dysplasia. He needs a knee Arthroscopy/ Surgery to minimize the damage, but will always have Arthritic problems. Cost $3000.00! I say find a better Breeder/Broker and spend more money. Vom Haus Hall Kennels aren't really Breeders. They are Brokers who put random dogs together and make puppies. They showed me paper work from Europe that looked authentic and my dog is registered with AKC, but with all the problems my dog has had I feel that something wasn't right there. That being said, my dog has a great temperament, has great drive and potential for IPO dog. However, given his medical conditions he will never go beyond Club level competition. This is a great disappointment to me. I struggled with writing a bad review on Social Media, but these people should not be making puppies.

First, I'm a painter, not a dog trainer or expert. I work 9-hour days and live alone. The puppy in the video is only 4 months old, and he already knows stay, go home (kennel), and when he goes in his kennel he automatically sits and waits until he's released. His bloodlines are excellent, and it shows. Yes, Belgian Malinois are a high-energy breed, but that doesn't mean they won't relax. Mine will lay around and chill just fine. They do require attention when you come home, since the dog is home most of the day, and they'll want interaction until bedtime--but that's expected. I am 100% pleased with the pup I got. I've never seen focus like this--he is ready to learn, eager to please, and great around other dogs. If you're considering this breed, I strongly recommend contacting this breeder. You won't be disappointed.
