After getting no response and a long wait, I finally got the answering service on the phone and was informed the office was closed! There was no phone call with an explanation, even hours after the appointment. I lost a day at work and pulled my son out of school early for them to have no regard for our time. They charge $50 for cancelling less than 24 hours prior. Well, I'd like a day's pay back!! I have 4 kids and was looking for a new dentist. They just lost my business!!

I started treatment with Oakwood Dental on September 11 and was referred by them for a root canal, which I had completed on December 2. After the root canal, I was told to return to Oakwood to have a crown placed about a month later. My crown appointment was scheduled for January 3, but the office canceled it and told me they were still waiting for insurance authorization. I was rescheduled again for February 5 and that appointment was also canceled for the same reason. After waiting months believing my authorization was still pending, I later spoke directly with my insurance company and was told my crown had actually been approved on February 13. When my appointment was rescheduled again for March, Oakwood informed me they no longer accept my insurance and that I would have to pay full cash price to complete the crown. This left me in a very difficult position after months of delays and multiple canceled appointments. I am now forced to find a new dentist and restart the authorization process for a crown after already completing the root canal. I hope the office improves communication and insurance coordination so other patients do not experience the same situation.

Great customer service EVERY time…read more I refer absolutely everyone I can to Galkin orthodontics. He is very knowledgeable, kind and guides you through the whole process. I got Invisalign through him and he has been more than helpful! I still have another year with the product. They are very understanding if you lose trays and other things like that. I have to give credit to the amazing staff and front desk too. They are so nice and accommodating and offer beverages and snacks. I never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room for my appointment. They send out emails to remind you of your appointments. Very clean place too. I recommend this place to anyone for their orthodontic needs
