Mina herself is lovely. You'll always get a 'hello darling' in her thick Persian accent and she is always accommodating if you don't have an appointment. She is very quick which is great for the painless treatments like waxing. Her prices are really reasonable $15-$20 for eyebrows and $35-$40 for a Brazilian wax. This isn't the flashest salon in town but it is great value and good service.

She is a one-woman show who knows what she's about. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Mina herself who took me in immediately and gave a tsk tsk to whoever had previously butchered my eyebrow sculpting. She fixed me right up, dyed them for me which I'd never done before, and sculpted them to perfection. I'm actually excited to keep going back and having them fixed by her, she's experienced and extremely accommodating!

After I moved to Sydney 2 years ago I tried a few hairdressers from cheap to expensive and I was never really satisfied. I'm glad to have found this place in the end. After your complimentary drink they start off with a head-shoulder massage, followed by a relaxing hair wash while sitting on one of their fancy massage chairs. What I also find important is that they wash your hair again after they're done with the cut. I noticed that not many hairdressers actually do that here in Sydney and then you're left for the day with little hairs all over you. The entire Cabelo crew is very friendly, competent and certainly worth the money. A normal mens hair cut including 2x wash (before & after), cut and styling costs $60. I come here every 3 weeks. Can't wait for the next time!

I've only been a customer at Moda Hair once, and I will not be returning. Not because I received a…read morehideous haircut, but because I barely noticed a difference after tentatively handing over $120 for the less-than-pleasant experience. Moda Hair salon is seriously over-priced. They offer a range of options including extensions, straightening, highlights and your standard cut/colour/blow dry. Each one will leave a deep dent in your wallet, and a twinge of regret in your mind. Moda's pricing scheme also baffles me. I understand the child/ adult price range you encounter in most places (e.g. adult haircut= $20, child haircut= $10). But Moda's child/ teenager/ adult price differences seem a little weird. This pricing scheme means a cut, colour and blow-dry with cost $85 for teenagers, and $98 for adults. As well as the steep prices, service is slow, and employees often seem totally uninterested in what they're doing. Moda Hair does not offer the superior services their prices suggest. They should either lower their prices, or increase the quality of their services.
