Not high end glamour beauty salon, but one that that is about providing a really good service to people who enjoy being pampered and replenished. Noddy's is one of the few places I have been where the hairdressers do what you actually ask for... I've been here quite a few times and have had a few different hairdressers - they've all been helpful and patient. I'm particularly grateful to one staff member who talked me down off the metaphoric ledge when I declared I wanted to turn my dark brown, undamaged hair blonde (I'd had a bad week...). Coffee, tea and magazines are all plentiful... the shampoo and massage experience is great (mmmmm... heeeead massaaaaage...) and it's a friendly, not-so-cool-its-intimidating place. The price isn't cheap but is far from unreasonable and, so far, noone has tried to push expensive and unwanted products down my throat (a pet hate at other salons). So... on behalf of the "virgin" haired women out there (apparently my undyed/untreated hair is a virgin), I recommend a trip to Noddy's. Try somewhere else if you're determined to go wild and make radical changes... but for a reliable, quality hair experience, this place is great.

Each and every time I left Noddy's I felt fabulous... and that's what you want to feel like when you leave a hair salon. I know a lot of people who leave their hairdressers thinking it'll be better when they get home and do it themselves, but to me the best you should feel is the moment you leave. To be fair, it may help that they have a fairly extensive alcohol menu. Only once in my years of visiting Noddy's did I have an issue. The colour they put in my hair didn't stick. In true Noddy's form when I called to tell them, they apologised profusely, fit me in the very next weekend and not only fixed it, but gave me a bunch of free treatments to take home. Definitely one to try.

The staff were all very nice but seems in a constant hurry, everyone was rushing, the girl that was colouring my hair was also colouring/cutting/shampooing other's during my appointment. It seems a tad chaotic, to the point that they over bleached my hair, that fried and broke off 2 inches from my roots.(all of this with the many treatments they recommended) I also had to go back in the next day as I noticed they missed spots if colour. Which they fixed... Your appointment will be rushed and you will be over-paying for your service. Just save yourself the time and money !

And the price? Well a quarter of the price Tony and Guy requested -(of course I didn't pay $450 at T & G, they found a way to change that bill. Come on now T & G. If it was Mr Tony or Mr Guy doing my hair, then I would pay $450. PLEASE!!) Finally you can see the contrast in my blonde hair, and it doesn't look like I did it myself! Amazing result! Knowledgeable and experienced, Nathan is the full package. 10/10 for this fab salon. Nathan was amazing, however you could see everyone here knew what they were doing. I will return here.

I explained this to the hairdresser she said we'd have to do it in stages ect, I said I wanted an all over colour change. I didn't like the highlight look. She explained the way she did highlights it would look mostly like One block colour. I figured she had more experience then me. So i said sure. When she was done with highlights ect. My hair looked really streaky and I was disappointed. I tried to explain this, but she just said going blonde was a process. So I went home and slept on it, figuring I would feel better in the morning. The next day I still felt unhappy with my hair and considering I paid 290 and I'm just an university student. So getting my hair coloured is a real treat. I decided to ring up and explain the situation. I got a pretty aggressive guy, I dunno if he was just stressed or that's his manner. He wanted to put me in contact with the hairdresser I had the miscommunication with, I explained I wasn't comfortable with that and would rather just use someone else in future. He seemed disgruntled and annoyed and it made me feel anxious. So I decided I would just go somewhere else, I explained this to him, he seemed annoyed. He rang back half an hour later and asked again if I would like to book an appointment to get my hair fixed. This time I agreed as I couldn't really afford to go Somewhere else and he sounded calmer. I explained I needed my hair done by today though, because I had a wedding the next day. He said there were no available appointments and he couldn't help me until next week. I explained that I needed a quick fix, because I had a wedding and I needed to look right for the photos. He seemed to get snappy and annoyed again. So I just said I would have to go somewhere else as I needed it done by tomorrow and I did. After I went to the next place, where they fixed my hair and did an exceptional job. (Brown to blonde super easily and really friendly) I decided that maybe I could Ask for a refund considering they weren't able to fix my hair for me and now In total this hair had cost me 500 dollars. I rang inches hair back to discuss this and the man basically just yelled at me, for even ringing him again and hung up. All in all an awful experience. I completely understand that sometimes hairdressers don't get it right ect ect. But what I don't understand is how Incredibly unhelpful and rude they were making me feel anxious and uncomfortable. At this point it's not even about if I got a refund or not, it's about the fact they were so rude to their customers. So disappointed, would not recommend.

When I realised this upon paying after my last visit, as I was being charged for the "long hair" price, I asked in what I thought was a polite tone how they classify the various lengths. I'm pretty sure I have what most people would consider short-ish hair - it sits right on my shoulders. Standing at the front counter, apparently my query was audible to the rest of the staff. Two senior stylists turned around immediately to state that the short hair price applied only to very short hair, "like a pixie cut" (as though I was demanding to be charged the short hair price, which I wasn't.) I didn't bother splitting hairs over what constituted "mid-length". Considering the difference in price being debated was only a few dollars, I just wanted to escape the hair police. I left, thinking, surely that amount of money is not worth arguing about with a repeat customer who's spent a small fortune at your business over the years. I now get blow-dries at a salon in Chatswood where hair length is more simply categorised into short and long options.
