This list of vets are given rules for charges BUT they never actually ensure that those vets follow those charges OR make sure that those vets are not allowed to charge other outragous fees. The vet office I went to charged me over $500 in fees including an over the weight charge by $50 due to my puppy being 5lb over (the foa site says the vet is only allowed to charge $2/lb over). I wrote an email to Friends of animals about this vets upcharges over 2 weeks ago and go zero response. I had previously gone to The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey which only charged $400 TOTAL out the door price with sutures that disolved and did an amazing job, but they are over an hour from me. I ended up spending over $700 using Friends of animals "low cost" neuter at a rude vet office 10 mins from me. What a joke. I don't understand how they are allowed to keep this scam up.

I should have the certificate in about a week. I will update my review upon receipt.

If I could give negative stars here I certainly would…read more It is explicitly stated on the website that the captain cannot cancel within 1 hr of the sail. At 5:50 an employee came out and let us (many groups of people, 40 total) know the captain canceled for an impending storm. As I write this 2 hrs later, the weather is as beautiful as it was then and never for a second looked like it was going to turn by any weather app I had. But don't worry, if this happens to you, an unprofessional teenage girl will call you to follow up and tell you that you get your $35 back. Thanks. I can't tell if it's a company run by a bunch of stupid teenagers, high relatives, or a mix of both. Something weird is going on. Can't recommend staying away enough.

The sail is 2 hours and you're able to see Manhattan across Long Island Sound if it's a clear day. Passengers are able to bring picnic foods and their own beer/wine type beverages aboard if they wish. The excursion was pretty low key which allowed for a relaxing atmosphere. The crew did a good job and if you had questions they were able to assist. Making reservations was easy on their website and if I visit again I'd love to take part in their sunset sailing cruise they offer, it just happened to be booked already. They have free parking and is a great experience for a great price. Would definitely recommend. I'm really glad I got to experience this during my time in CT.

I went from struggling to balancing and passing my college classes, battling with mental health challenges to graduating cum laude and getting leadership awards for student clubs. The Food Bank plays a vital role in our area, being a distributor of food to many food pantries and organizations in our area to help hungry families. They have been around for many years, and a number of local organizations and individuals give freely of their time to volunteer here to stock shelves, clean, organize, among other things. It is an amazing organization that more people need to know about. Please think about donating, go to their web site to see what is most needed, and absolutely call to sign up to volunteer! What the previous reviewer experienced should most certainly not happen, and I can attest that the staff there are very appreciative of anyone who can help them in any way! Spread the word and donate, volunteer and donate! More people in our area need food assistance than you might think.
