But I was assured they they will accept all clients-reproducing or not. Boy, I'm glad I did! The online booking process was fairly simple-if the date I wanted was not available, the system would suggest the next open slot. After booking my appointment, I received email and text confirmations and reminders. On the day of my visit, I found the office fairly easily. (It's on the second floor-north end of the building.) There is also decent parking-I was there on a weekend; perhaps on a weekday it may be more crowded when the other offices are open. The greeting and waiting area are warm and inviting-immediately putting me at ease. I did notice lots of portraits of beautiful bellies and mamas-to-be...so if you are expecting and want a nice massage, I'm sure they would take great care of you here. My massage therapist was Lena and she was absolutely delightful. She was friendly and attentive and listened to my specific requests. The massage was excellent-just what I was hoping for. I left feeling truly relaxed and ready to conquer the world-after a nap, of course. I also learned that they do couples' massages-which I would eagerly return for.

A couple days before my appt I get a text to confirm my massage so I did. The day of my appt I show up 15 minutes early, doors are locked and no lights are on. So I text the number and they said Mara is supposed to be on the way to the appt. 10 minutes after my appt is supposed to be, I get a phone call from the owner apologizing and saying the receptionist booked on a day Mara is out of town. Do they not look at the schedules ahead of time?? They could have called to reschedule me, I booked this appt a week ago? Makes zero sense.. I had to drive 30 minutes to even get to this appt as well as try to find a sitter for my baby.. So I told the owner I wanted a refund and she gave me attitude and said I haven't paid. This was a gift so you know and even if I didn't pay yet that wasn't the right way to respond. I'm just super disappointed because this place had good reviews but nothing about my experience was great.

She shaved my nails down so thin and it was so incredibly painful. It is taking months for me to recover my nails and get my nail health all the way back. Upon leaving my first negative review which was a lot more lengthy and had a lot more detail. The owner reached out to me and convinced me to remove my first review because they are a small business and this would affect the health of their business. I have to wonder how many other people who left negative reviews were called and convinced to remove their negative reviews as well. And to the owner and whoever respond to these reviews, please do not contact me again.

Her techs were supposed to hand me the product and add the charge to my account without clearly addressing it to me, but the tech forgot to charge me and is now claiming I stole. It's hysterical! Our double rainbow, miracle baby was our only normal embryo, so I'm sure you can imagine how overwhelming and nerve wracking this pregnancy was for us. We found this place and came in for an ultrasound between our scheduled ultrasounds with my OB. This gave us such a solid peace of mind and helped us to sleep better at night knowing all was well with him. We also took advantage of their couples massage while we were on our staycation/baby moon and it was FANTASTIC. The women we had working on us really took the time to learn what we wanted. There was a point in time where I started to feel a little faint and my lady (I wish I could remember her name) was so patient and accommodating. She had me sit up, gave me water and we decided to pivot and have me turn on my back so I could breathe the fresh air. They do massages for anyone, you don't have to be pregnant! I will definitely be back for one post-partum. Lastly, we had a 3D ultrasound done when I was around 32ish weeks. The tech was so sweet and took her time to get all the great shots. She even had me re-position and drink cold water etc to see if we could get different views. The photos turned out perfect and as you can see in the picture I'm sharing in my review, there is definitely a resemblance! Really thankful for this place and happy to have had it as part of our journey to parenthood. I highly recommend!

She really cares about us, and listens to our views and how we felt. She is really sincere and has the well being of the baby and the mom at top priority. Me and my wife decided to have a home birth. Amy helped us feel very capable and comfortable with the birth of our son in our home. And everything went very well. Her post natal care was very good, she didn't leave until both the mom and the baby were in good condition while she met their needs. We strongly recommend her Bradley Method class. It was very enjoyable and was really good to learn in preparation for our birth. Amy does a really good job teaching that class and uses lots of updated information, real world experiences, and realistic scenarios. Because of this class, we were so excited for our birth and when our son ended up coming early, we were more than prepared for it. She is very knowledgable and keeps up with her education. When we had questions, she had answers that came with books and research studies to support what she said. Our prenatal and post natal visits were comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be hiring Amy again in the future and would 100% recommend her to anyone wanting a joyful/natural birth experience.

Unfortunately, my experience with Amy as a midwife was deeply disappointing and, at times,…read moredistressing. While she was kind and personable during our prenatal visits, her support during my labor and birth fell far short of expectations. I have rewatched the 10 hours of footage from my labor and birth - so these are actual accounts and not just from my memory. Amy did not consistently show up when I needed her most. I was in labor for 31 hours before she arrived to stay. Although she checked on me briefly around the 12-hour mark, she was hesitant to return that evening and seemed bothered when asked. Despite living just five minutes away, she made it clear she didn't want to leave her equipment behind, citing how expensive it was, which felt inappropriate and untrusting, especially during such a vulnerable time. My doula had to convince her to leave her birth stool at my house before leaving for the night. Throughout the night and next morning, while my labor progressed, she remained largely unavailable. She mentioned needing to serve lunch at her child's school, which felt like a higher priority than my care. By the time she returned, 31 hours in, I was fully dilated. At that point, she spent a surprising amount of time disengaged, making tea and sitting on her phone rather than actively supporting me. When complications arose that Amy couldn't solve due to her inexperience, I was transferred to a birth center for a Vacuum extraction attempt, the situation became more traumatic. Her partner Kristy, whom I had never met before, was harsh and unsupportive, aggressively pushing me to continue despite my obvious exhaustion after 40+ hours of labor. Their bedside manner during this time was extremely lacking and added emotional stress to an already intense experience. The lack of communication and support continued well after the birth. After giving birth, Amy left the center first and then missed our scheduled 24-hour follow-up. I had to reach out to her myself, only to receive a vague response about a personal family issue that had come up, without any prior notice. When I asked her for guidance about jaundice, her text response was a single word: "breastfeeding." When I needed help breastfeeding because my newborn wasn't latching properly, she helped me for 5 min then gave me a card for a LC. When I raised my concerns, she responded by saying she thought I didn't want her there during labor because I had my doula, which was simply untrue and baffling. She repeatedly mentioned family obligations as reasons for her absence, which gave the impression that her priorities were elsewhere. Additionally, throughout our care, I felt judged for choosing a Hypnobirthing class over the Bradley method she preferred, and she made disparaging remarks about other clients, something I found unprofessional. This review isn't written lightly. I truly hope others can find a provider who is committed, present, and supportive when it matters most. Birth is an incredibly vulnerable experience, and everyone deserves a care team that shows up, physically, emotionally, and professionally. Amy - I'm happy to sit down and review the footage with you so you can see how poorly you showed up for me.

I now feel confident in continuing my business at Calming Touch in the future.*** Very disappointed in the unethical and unprofessional practices I was surprised to learn of. I went here for prenatal massages and it was great! I was recently given a gift card for a 60 minute massage so I scheduled with Brianna. She was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great massage! The issues I have are not with her, they are with how the business is run. The stars are for Brianna. 1. My massage was scheduled for 12:40 and When I was told we were finished the clock read 1:30. When I asked why we ended 10 minutes early Brianna informed me that at Calming Touch they massage for 10 minutes less than the time you pay for (I.e. a 50 minute massage when you paid for a 60 minute massage) even if you arrive early so your massage begins on time. 2. I had a coupon from referring a family member that I used during checkout. When I went to pay with my gift card I was informed I was not allowed to use a gift card if I have any discount applied to the price of my massage. So I had to pay out of pocket. *I will note that nowhere on the website or at the location does it say this is a rule, so I found it very frustrating, especially after paying for 60 minutes and being told I only get 50. This does not happen at other massage companies (i much experience in managing a massage business and attending multiple) and it was extremely disappointing to find out. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location anymore to my friends and family as I now know we aren't getting what we paid for.
