Upon arriving in Valencia and exploring a neighborhood full of dining options, I decided to stop by Tin Tapa because of its close approximate to the hotel. At first, I was a bit hesitant -- the place gave off a slightly touristy vibe, with people out front trying to draw you in. That usually makes me skeptical, as great spots often speak for themselves. The area was not short of options, but we still chose this place on a hunch.
That said, Tin Tapa surprised me. We arrived after the typical lunch break ( which is magical) which actually made for a relaxed and pleasant experience. Place was crowded but mostly outside. Inside was still warming up. The service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The beer was fresh, the hummus was excellent, the beef gyro was hearty and flavorful, and the fries were absolutely on point.
Despite my initial reservations about the place, this turned out to be a solid and enjoyable meal. It didn't feel like a tourist trap once we sat down -- just good food, good service, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'd definitely come back again read more
