We stumbled upon this place and I wish I would stumble on gems like that every time I was in a new city! First, the neighbourhood is great, if the weather is good definitely try to get a table outside underneath the trees. Secondly, the service was amazing. We asked for a table outside that was not available when we arrived (without a reservation - although the place does take reservation), but we were moved to one 10 minutes later. I really appreciated that, as we were probably the only non-Spanish speaking customers. Which brings me to my third point - the place screams authenticity. The staff, the decoration, even the chairs and the cutlery give our this non-pretentious authentic feeling that I'm guessing you're looking for in a Spanish tavern. Lastly, the food. I like everything. We had 4 different dishes that really went well with our beer. The place offers some nice desserts too although we didn't try in. 4 dishes and 5 beers later, we received a bill for 38.5 euros. Not bad. read more
