My mother has…read morebeen a loyal customer here for years, but for the first time, we have a negative experience. We recently took her car in for an oil change and inspection. First issue: the representative told me they couldn't complete the inspection because her brakes were 'bad' and offered to replace them for $150. I'm no expert, but in my experience, when brakes need replacing, there are usually noticeable symptoms--and my mother hadn't experienced any. We decided to get a second opinion. The next day, Valvoline completed her inspection without mentioning any brake issues. Second problem: they charged over $90 for the oil change. When I questioned the high cost, the representative said they'd used synthetic oil. At no point did I request a synthetic oil change. When I pointed this out, he simply responded, 'Okay,' adjusted something on his computer, and then showed me a new price around $40." Needless to say, this will be our last visit to this location.
