We used to pass this park all the time but never turned in to check it out. This year, we finally…read moreturned in to look around and found that it has lots of picnic areas and an interesting birdwatching overlook. At that birdwatching station, they have an area full of birdbaths and other things to attract birds, so there were quite a variety of birds there. There's disc golf and a few areas for hiking as well, so it could be a nice place to continue exploring, especially since it's so close to home!

Not that large of a park, but a number of pavilions and picnic areas available. There is a lot of "free for all" shaded space to enjoy, though the grassy parts are a little hard and patchy so bringing chairs or a blanket with padding would do well for kids. There is a bird watching platform closer to the camping side. We didn't see any birds of prey but with the number of bird feeders we saw plenty of other little birds and critters scurrying around. Other than the road, there is no paved trail. If you turn in off of Joshua Rd., you end up on a one way loop. Don't panic. Just turn left at the first opportunity and you'll end up where you started from Joshua. If you turn right, then you get to the bird watching tower and camping area.
