For the love of all things holy & pure! DO NOT PARK IN THOSE SPACES. There is a an employee, who sits by the door and unless you're coming into to that shop. This! STORE! You gotta go. Cuz there will be HELL to pay. I actually had no idea what this store was. I didn't bother going in. I'm killing time and wanted to wander the local establishments. There seems to be parking signs just about everywhere here but jeeze. This dude slides outside "HEY, ARE YOU COMING INTO THE TINDER BOX? CUZ YOU CAN'T PARK THERE IF YOU AREN'T?" sir, what is tinder box? "A cigar shop" oh. Only for a woman 2 spots over to yell "nobody goes in there anymore. He's like that if you park in those spaces. He's taking his anger out on all of us" hahaha! I can't make it up. Listen, there's probably a half dozen places nearby that you can shop for this kind of product without the animosity. Horrible staff member came storming out the minute I parked (accidentally) in one of the Tinder spots. He called me an idiot and wouldn't even let me explain that I didn't realize and that there were no other spots available. The store was not even open yet! I came back to flyers all over my car saying "ok to be towed". I have a medical condition causing extreme dizziness that makes walking long distances very hard so the spot was most convinient for me, but he wouldnt even let me explain. Absolutely terrible experience and will never go into the store (not that I would anyway). I called to talk to the manager and she basically told me I was making everything up. I don't understand the negative reviews and reports of rude employees. I've been going for a number of years and the guys are always so nice and willing to help/make suggestions. They are describing an experience I've never had at Tinder Box Haverford. Yes they are strict about parking. It I figure it's because with very limited spaces, they got tired of spaces they likely pay for getting consumed by customers if other stores. Not so much for customers to deal with, is it? In an area known for rude people, the tinder box may have the rudest employees of the bunch. No idea how they do enough business to afford rent in Haverford square but I can't imagine it will last much longer. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. The staff is remarkably rude. Save your time and energy and go literally anywhere else.

Nice employees and selection. Limited parking and no place for public to smoke. They used to have smoking in the basement. But now there is no seating available. They want customers to come in and purchase and leave. read more

It wasn't how I intended to spend my lunch hour, but I wound up stopping here today since I was in the area. This store has a large selection of cigars, pipe tobacco, and gifts for men. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed talking with them for awhile before heading home. There's plenty of metered parking in the area and a few spots behind the shop. They also have a smoking lounge if you plan on staying awhile to relax. It was a nice stop here, especially since it was nice weather out and I really couldn't decide what I wanted to eat today. read more

People are super rude. Went to go grab a coffee this morning and to wait for them to open up for business today. I decided that parking in their spot BEFORE they even opened and yet planning to go check them out when they did would not be a big deal. But big man on campus decided to give us a little earful. Don't go here and waist your time they are rude humans. But do go across the way and get a great coffee much better customer service. 1/10. read more

Do not shop (or park) at the HAverford store. The staff was aggressive, intimidating, and rude! We parked in one of their parking spots (for less than three minutes) and when we returned to our car, we saw that the staff had put "okay to be towed" flyers all over the outside and inside of our car. There were at least a dozen flyers, one in each of our door handles, on the front and back windshields, and they even slipped some inside our open car window. They also had a staff member in his car blocking our car to ensure we didn't leave before the tow truck arrived. Come on really?! Get a life. I know we shouldn't have parked in one of their parking spots. But, it was for three minutes for crying out loud and every other one of their parking spots was open. Defacing the outside and inside our car with all of their flyers and blocking us in was uncalled for. Who does that?! The staffs' behavior was intimidating and aggressive behavior and completely unnecessary. We will never shop at this store! read more

When I want a change of scenery I visit this store. Thankfully I don't like my scene to change often!!! It's a shop with cigars. Next time I will bring rocks to sit on so I stay awake!! They have some different brand cigars so that's a plus for me...I get bored fast!!! If the handful of parking spots behind the store are available it's definitely the best place to park! Amazingly a spot is always available in the back! The guys that work here are always extremely nice and helpful! Soooo...it's not a bad place just not for me on a regular basis!! read more

Nice store and extremely friendly staff. Staff was helpful without being pushy. They allowed me to browse around and take the whole store in. I'm new to cigars and they were very patient answering any questions I had. They are cigar shops closer to but this place is worth the trip. read more

This is a mans man cigar and manly accessory emporium! I love this place. The single best cigar shop in the county.

I'd been looking for a source for a good shaving brush and a steady supply of good quality shaving soap. After looking in every drug store and target type store and finding nothing... I wandered in here on a lark. They carry Col. Conk's brand soap, stands, and brushes. Everything is reasonably priced, as well. The staff is extremely friendly, even offering to try to order a specific soap I was looking for. A tobacco shop was the last place I'd thought to look, but these guys really came through for me. read more
