It's my go-to store. Great selection of cigars, friendly crowd at the lounges, fair prices, helpful staff, and bonus - it's right next door to the wine/beer place, or not far from matcha or coffee if that's your thing. read more

Great selection, maybe a little pricey, but for the area it makes sense. Good atmosphere. The good news if you need cigar boxes for anything, they sell them for only $2/box. Score! read more

I went into this store a week ago to buy cigar items for my son and the gentleman was very helpful. I don't know anything about cigars and the gentleman was so kind and patient with me. read more

I started smoking cigars 2 years ago on a deployment and immediately loved it. When I returned this Tinder box was the first cigar store/lounge that I had ever been to. The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly which goes a long way. Richard is a avid long time cigar smoker and has a great memory. He will know what you like and everything about you, a true Southerner. The pricing of the cigars is great and they have a frame at selection. The selection isn't erotic but they have a solid stock. You should check them out! read more

Coming in for the first time, I was a little doubtful on coming in from reviews that my friends have given me, and they weren't wrong. As I work in the Arboretum, it was fairly easy to get there so location is good, but in the very back so it is hard to find :( Stepping in I was greeted by a good atmosphere and customer service. Talking a little bit before I decide, I asked the Sales lady to recommend me a cigar that wasn't too strong but not completely bland either. Right off the back she ran me into the back and offered me it looked like one of the most Heaviest and Expensive cigars they sold. I was very discouraged from smoking after that, I thanked her for her time and walked out. I never was in their smoking lounge, but it seemed very small unfortunately. I won't be returning to this store anytime soon. read more

With a wide selection of fine cigars and smoking accessories (whatever that means) it's a great place for the cigar smoker in your life. I myself don't have my experience on the topic, but from what I know this place is pretty good. Like most cigar places this is kind of a boys club, but I did see some women while I was there. So if you know cigar smokers this is the perfect place to find gifts. read more

The kind woman at Tinder Box restored my faith in humanity with her kindness yesterday! Came in for my husbands pipe tobacco for Fathers Day and he and I will forever shop here because of the customer service she provided! read more

Quaint shop feel with a wide selection of cigars and accessories. The shop owner is friendly and knowledgeable. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the store and no question is "dumb." You tell them what flavors or types of cigars you like and they will provide you as many options as you want without overwhelming you. read more

Our local go-to for cigars. Great selection of styles and types at a variety of price points. Staff is always friendly, helpful and fun!

This is the best place in Charlotte to sit and have an awesome cigar. Second would be the Southpark location.

Very good selection - probably every "US" Padron is available for example, as well as many other high end selections. It is, however, rather pricey as compared to other shops. Part of me knows that very well could be because it is "better", but the markup across the board is a bit steep, at least for me. I also rarely if ever see any deals, discounts, etc despite having signed up for the mailing list a number of times now. read more

I was a little weary based on some of the previous reviews but I'm certain people just look for things to complain about sometimes. The cigar selection, while not massive, is very nice. It has a bunch of cigars I haven't been able to find elsewhere (thus forcing me to spend more money than I would have liked). Someone mentioned the markup was insane, well I don't know where else they've been shopping because I thought the prices were fair, and in some cases lower by a dollar or more than previous smoke shops I've been to. The person who rang me out was very friendly and we had a nice little conversation. I can't comment on the lounge because I didn't stay but I would definitely return. read more

The staff here is quite knowledgeable and they have a fairly decent selection of cigars. However, I have been talked down to because of my age, which is an immediate turn off. The lounge is nice, but small and doesn't have any TVs or music. Overall, I would come back in search of a certain cigar, but it's nothing to write home about. read more

Nice place but not very welcoming at all. I sat in the lounge to have a smoke. It was full of guys but no one spoke to me. I tried several times to join in the conversation but got shut down each time. Very isolating experience, not what you want from a cigar lounge at all and I probably will not be back. read more

Consistently the BEST cigar store in Charlotte! Richard and Debbie treats every customer like a regular and every regular like family. Their smoking lounge is perfect place to enjoy the cigars you buy there. read more
