Recently, I called to request a color change appt. The owner/technician answered the phone; and when I requested an appt., she brusquely replied, something like, "I have to clean the foot basin." And then hung up before I could say anything. Puzzled and thinking I may have called at an inconvenient time, I thought she might return my call to schedule an appt. She has caller ID on her phone and could have done so. However, she did not. Which in the overall 'picture' is fine with me. I only returned to her because she works faster than others I've been to. And her shop is clean. But the experience is not relaxing - at all. Because she talks *non-stop* throughout the entire encounter. Furthermore, the last time I was there, she cut my great toe while prepping it for new polish (I did not comment on that to her). A cut so deep it took some time to heal. Of note, at my last visit there, in the course of her non-stop dialogue, she mentioned she doesn't have to work; and she selects her customers. ‍ Despite my intention to be an accommodating, non-demanding customer, apparently, I didn't 'make the cut' or rather, I was 'cut'. MY REVIEW: This shop was wonderful, and I absolutely intend on going back. The work stations were very clean, the techs were very efficient, very thorough and very talented. My tech, Linda, helped recommend colors and even did a little artwork on my toes that looks awesome. The entire pedicure, from the trim to the scrub/leg massage to the final painting was a great experience. I happily give them 5 stars! My observation while in the shop: There were a lot of people being served in the shop and I noticed that those who were there to enjoy themselves, did just that. Yes, we had appointments, yes they were running a little late, so what? Those girls were working as fast as they could and still were treating each client as if they were the only person in there while working on them. There was one lady in particular who came in right at 7 pm without an appointment and from the moment she approached the nice lady at the front desk to the the techs performing the work she talked down to everyone in the shop. I was furious to see how this lady talked down to these techs. She was demanding and rude even though they had worked her and her 2 children in at closing time without an appointment, and the shop had graciously accommodated them. My takeaway is this. You cannot please everyone, and it's the people who are not happy in general who will look for a reason to dislike a business and they are usually the people who take the time to write a review.
