I've had so many mediocre manicures in the past few years. I'd honestly given up all hopes of actually getting a manicure that's worth anywhere near what I'm paying for my nails to look decent for a week or two. I was visiting my daughter last week in CB, and she needed to get her nails pretty, so I thought this would be a good way to spend some time together. When we pulled up to park, I almost missed the sign for Amy's. The nail salon is in the backside of a strip mall. The storefront is nondescript. When you walk through the doors, you'll see three cafeteria style seats to the left of the door (one of which held a case of bottled water). Three small manicure tables and three pedicure chairs complete the furnishings. Mellow music was playing in the background. Not a spa-like vibe...more of a feeling of walking into a friend's family room. As soon as my daughter and I sat down to get our gel manicures, my spirits lifted. Amy is professional, friendly, kind, gentle (my hands had gone through some pre-Thanksgiving meal prep injuries), and efficient! Her daughter works alongside her with one other nail artist. The overall mood was simply GOOD. Within about an hour, I walked out with one of the very BEST manicures I've ever had. Amy's rates are reasonable. The polishes aren't aged and thickened like so many I see in salons recently. Her salon is impeccably clean. I went here for a pedicure and manicure with gel polish on both. Ive been to Amys nails before and I've been happy. This time i had a male tech. Ive had male techs before but this time this one was too rough and my toe nails are too short and I'm getting an ingrown nail. My finger nails are a mess, bumpy polish and as you can see cuticles are cut and infected. Do not let this man touch you. read more

My husband and I have been going to Amy's nails for years now. They have always done an amazing job on our toes and nails. They have a huge selection of colors and i swear, sometimes it takes me longer for me to choose a color or two than it does for my nails. (If you know you know) It is by appointment only which is great because there is almost never a wait when going in for appointment, at least with my experience. The women are amazing at what they do, and always provide a great environment. My favorite part is the paraffin wax when getting a pedicure. It is $5 extra, but absolutely worth it! I wish I could leave 0 stars, I've gone in once before, and the nails were ok. I come in for a refill and service was horrendous. The nail tech I was provided had not clue on to what he was doing. Remind you I was getting a refill but he proceeded to take off all of my arylic and than I tell him that the glued on nail tips were about to fall off and he laughs. He than didn't know how to use nail drill, and was unable to apply acrylic. The gal I assume is Amy walks over and asks if I have picked out my color and I say yes I would like a white to blue onbray, she than tells me she is unable to do that because she's not good and that onbray nails are concerned a full set of nails. I than leave and go to nail polish nails in coosbay by the marshfield school and she did awesome. And she was able to fix them and squeeze me in her schedule for an "emergency" nail appt. read more

My mom and I came in yesterday while visiting from Southern California. We got mani/pedis and I was so pleased with the service! They turned out great, everything was clean (I saw them put tools in the sterilizer after each use), and they even included hot paraffin wax with the pedicures. I gave this place a shot after reading reviews online and was pleased with my choice. I was visiting from out of town and just wanted a gel manicure. Very small and unassuming but clean and lots of good sanitary practices in place. I was surprised that my whole bill was only $35 that included gel polish removal and French tips. My gel manicure started to come off after 2 days. Was done with only 2 layers of color when it should have been three. Tips were not painted which is probably why it chipped off. 3 stars because the pedicure still looks good. FYI they do not use inserts in the pedicure tubs and I did not see them disinfecting them in between customers I think there are 2 ladies that do a really good job if you want tips/acrylics but regular/gel manicure is just mediocre. read more

Highly recommend this salon! Amy does a great job - try and get an apt with her if you can but if not the other ladies are great too. I usually get a gel mani/pedi and it lasts longer than most. The women are very kind but the work is a little shabby. I feel like my nails are always rushed through to make room for the next appointment. I paid full price for a design I hated and asked to get them redone- she was kind enough to redo my nails but I didn't get my design money back considering I didn't get a design the second time around. I was very disappointed in this place. I did not see them sterilize the equipment and after using an electrical appliance on me they immediately went over and used it on the person next to me. Had a great experience! We called in the late morning, and she was able fit my mother and I in that afternoon. The place is small but clean and very nice modern equipment. The staff were Extremely nice and did a great job. My mom and I had pedicures and their prices were very reasonable. It was $25 for a pedicure and $38 for a mani pedi. I was going every 2 weeks to get a regular pedicure and shellac manicure for months which was always $50 then the last time I went not only were they over booked and got me in 20 minutes after my appointment time they charged me $67 for the same things I'd been getting for $50!!! I still tipped both girls who did my toes and nails but I'm not going back. My nails also chipped 2 days later for shellac and she missed some paint because she was rushing to get the next person in I also didn't get the hand massage I paid for. The lady who is the sister of the owner I believe holds onto your knuckles so hard it is painful during a manicure too and they've had me go sit back down in the middle of a manicure to get started on the next person waiting. I won't be going back after being over charged $16. Too expensive for the services and location. read more
