Brisket Platter, green beans and coleslaw

This was our first time to Tincap. It was really good. My wife and I both had the Briskit platter. It was really good. Decent amount of brisket, coleslaw was good as were the green beans. I ordered a beer and after I was drinking it the waitress came over and wasn't sure she poured me the right one so she brought me another. Very thoughtful. Good people and good food. We will be back.

A very welcome surprise while traveling. From the service to the menu..this is a great find. This is definitely a recommended place!

The feel and atmosphere in this restaurant is just phenomenal and made me feel comfortable from the first step in the door. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you if they aren't too busy or you grab it and go back to your table. The pulled pork wrap was tender and so tasty. I added more bbq sauce for my taste and o yes I would definitely order it again. All the bbq is smoked. The Macdaddy is pulled pork with green chili Mac and cheese. Let's just say, WOW!! These two were a perfect combination together. A hint of spice with the bbq was just great. The portion sizes seemed small at first but I was so wrong. They were perfect and the right amount because I was full and content after eating. Now the hard cider, has a crisp and just smooth flavor. It wasn't too tart and didn't hurt the stomach like we've experienced before. The slaw was great. The spinach artichoke dip was different from what I've actually ever had. It was a cold dip. But it was delicious and I would absolutely order again. We will be coming back.

After traveling from Columbus to hike at cesar creek we made the tiniest detour to stop at tincap winery. While we didn't see any wine there was tons of cider, and it was all delicious. They had about 8 to choose from, plus other beer on tap, and two types of slushees. I had sour pear (tasted like a sweet tart) and a spicy mango that were both great. My friend had peach and blackberry and loved them both. We also shared a pink lemonade slushie, but I thought it tasted like disinfectant (she liked it though). Also super delicious was the pizza! I'm not a huge pizza fan, but since this was all they had, we got it, and I loooooved it! Super saucy and great. Beautiful patio that my dog enjoyed, and super friendly staff, I will definitely make a stop here again in the Future!

Craft beers and ciders and cocktails... Oh my! The hubby and I were just enjoying a Saturday drive when we decided to head into Wilmington to grab a bite. What attracted us was the music they piping out into the street. . I really love the atmosphere of this place, it's a casual grab a menu pick a seat and order at the bar. There is a lower level with a few tables when you walk in the door then the main floor area and then an upstairs where I'm assuming the live entertainment takes place. The food was tasty. Dean got the turkey wrap and coleslaw and I opted for the meat parfait! You wouldn't think there's a whole lot of food in that little parfait cup but I dumped it on the plate and oh my goodness the hubby had to help me finish it. Employees were friendly and extremely helpful. They do offer flights and they do offer a sample tastes of the cider before you buy. It was also reasonably priced.

We were in the area and looking for a place to stop. Yelp did not disappoint! Very clean. Cool vibe. Staff was very friendly and offered complimentary tastings. We tried several, but both decided on the Cherry Chili Pie Cider (and we rarely agree on our beverages). Sounds weird, but so good. We ended up taking a growler home. Would definitely return if we find ourselves back in that area.

This is a honey meadery that's family owned. They have plenty of varieties and the owner is usually there to talk to you about the process and how all of the meads he makes came to be. The pricing is fair based on what I've seen other places and can get pricey if you're buying a large bottle. You can choose to buy a bottle, a glass , or a flight of different ones to choose from. The menu is also very easy to understand. I'm not sure if this place is still opened because google indicates it's permanently shut down, but the FB page says it's still open. You may want to call before visiting.

Turns out, it not only happened, but it's a really great family-run business as well. The menu is fairly large, but any of the staff can speak to which one you'll like best. Some is REALLY sweet, some a little tart, and some tastes like fruit juice - but watch those, because they're all in double-digits with the alcohol by volume! We tried several, but my favorite was the Almond Joy. They took Chocolate and coconut and it really tastes just like an Almond Joy. My wife liked the Cranberry and the raspberry varieties. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strawberry rhubarb, but maybe next time! If you've got someone in your party who would just as soon stick to beer, it's okay to byob - same with sandwiches or shareables. They're only open on the weekends, but it's a really neat idea, and I strongly recommend you try it.

The Taproom is typically only open on Saturday evenings but I attended a private event on a Sunday afternoon. The interior has some seating alongside the many different brewing tanks. I started my visit with a flight, which included 4 tasters. I am not a huge cider fan, but the ciders I tried were all pretty good. They were not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the pineapple cider (Pineapple #10). Hella Good Blueberry Pomegranate was also good. I also got a full sized glass of the Hunky Dory Apple Pie. This drink had a strong hint of cinnamon along with apple. Mad Moon is worth a visit if you enjoy ciders. Their Facebook page advises when they have food trucks and other events.

This is a pretty neat little spot! Mad Moon Cider has been around for several years now but I think…read morethe tap room is a newer place. I randomly found it on yelp and being a new cider fan had to come check it out. So on a rainy Saturday, my bf and I decided to finally check it out! It's defiantly a little confusing to find. Nor is it in the best part of town. Google maps doesn't seem to be aware of the actual road they are on, as it only took us to the Cleveland Ave and didn't actually guide us the rest of the way. I've included the map from their website that shows how to locate them. There is a large green Mad Moon banner on the corner Cleveland Ave and Britains Lane- turn there. Then continue to follow the green signs as you wind your way through what looks like a storage unit complex but I think is actual businesses. It can be a bit sketchy but I promise it's worth it. I've had a couple of their ciders on tap at local bars/restaurants but didn't make the connection until we were there. BrewDog, Pins, Pies and Pints all has their ciders along with several others. You can find a full list on their website of where you can buy their ciders, in bottles or on tap. We started off with a flight- 4 ciders for $10. They are decent sized pours, too. Since their menu isn't huge, we opted to go this route to try multiple ciders (there are 7 total). I still wasn't totally sure which one I wanted to order a glass of and they let me sample a couple others on the menu to decide. I ended up ordering the Tangerine Dream and my bf had the Eat a Peach. They were all good though! While the tap room is fairly small, they have more tables in another room next to the bar area. In here they had a TV and several games for use so we decided to play Yahtzee and Candy Land while we enjoyed our ciders. I love when places have games available as we rarely play them at home and it gives us something fun to do while enjoying our drinks. Definitely worth the trip to check this place out! I was surprised how many people were there/stopped in while we were there considering it's not the easiest place to find and I don't think the tap room's existence is all that well known. So that was great to see. Always great to check out and support local!
