They damaged my vehicle and are very rude and unprofessional. PLEASE READ. AAA sent them to do a regular jump start on my car. They showed up over 2 hours later. When Craig arrived. He put the jumper cables on wrong. He put the negative on the positive and positive on the negative. Which caused sparks everywhere. He even acknowledged he put it on wrong and switched it. Even calling himself stupid for doing that. But it was too late. Something got fried. All the warning lights came on, on the dashboard which never came on before. The car would not accelerate. Craig told me give it about an hour left running and they should disappear and the car should start working again. He left and it didn't. So I called AAA back. They then called Tim's towing and then Tim's Towing called me. A lady who was very rude from the first word that came out of her mouth asked me what happened. I told her very politely what happened. Right away she said you mean to tell me that Craig the guy who has been working with us for over 13 years put jumper cables on your car incorrectly? I said yes that's exactly what happened. She then said I don't believe it. So I said well I don't know what you are trying to say, that I'm a liar? She said yes. Straight up you are a liar. I couldn't believe it. What kind of business are they running there to treat their customers like that? I told her to get Craig on a 3 way call and ask exactly what happened. She said yes ok I'll do that. I also told her that if he lies I have everything on camera that is not only recorded by video but by audio. When I told her that she hung up on my face and blocked my calls. I haven't heard from them since and had to file a damage claim with AAA. WARNING. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

We had a blowout while driving on a family roadtrip. Tim Jr. not only showed up and helped us FAST! :) We were five, [me, wife, 3 teenage kids], and not everyone could fit in the truck. We couldn't get an Uber or a taxi out there. My kids [aged 21, 17,14] said they'd wait in the shade of a tree for us to get the tire fixed and return of them. What did Tim do? Brought us to the local Tire Shop, and while they were working on our van, Tim went and GOT OUR KIDS FOR US! ....Tow truck guys have 10+ calls a day, and Tim went the extra FIVE miles for us! Called Tim's to get a quote on towing services for one of our vehicles. I was in no rush S it has been at our house broken down for a week just due to the weather not permitting to get it taken to the shop. Tim's gave me a quote over the phone and they were not the cheapest but definitely were not the highest as others had quoted me over $100 more for the same service. I even rode with the driver the 50ish miles to the specialty shop I take my cars to because I was picking up one of my other cars they just finished. Great family owned business doing it right. Don't mind the sad saps that can't read a sign saying "vehicles will be towed" in front of a business. Tim's does not determine which cars get towed. The owners of those businesses call when some moron leaves a car in one of their spots to go bang their side piece and make their wives think they are doing something else. Tim's is a great business and I will be using them again as well as using them when I finish the parking lot at our new business to tow away any dip that decides to leave their car and take up a space for one of our paying customers. If your car breaks down and you have to park it in a business parking lot let them know of leave them a note and get your car removed as soon as possible. Sorry for the rant but I read reviews for every towing company I called to get quotes and it seems Tim's lower reviews are due to a few morons that parked where they were not supposed to and got mad they had to pay the price. This place needs help. They quoted me $175 for a tow. 45 minutes AFTER the were supposed to meet me with no messages and only a VM option when I called, I reached out to AAA. It turns out AAA will cover my tow and they assigned a driver to me --- yep it was Tim's Towing. Tim's called me to verify and I explained the situation and the driver said he would be here shortly. Sure enough, they bailed. So AAA called me back and found another provider which is another hour away. No biggie - it's my Saturday. Tim, the RIGHT thing to do would be to complete the job. Please, please don't call this company! I am brand new to this area. I broke down in the scorching heat. I called him for a tow. When he arrived, he said he couldn't tow me. It would be "later". I asked repeatedly what "later" meant as he was in a tow truck. He continued to hatefully repeat the word "later" as I cried and begged him for a time. He said to my sister and i "you bitches can stay in the heat" and drive off. All of this happened in the Racetrack parking lot on Boyd in Azle. Witnesses I didn't even know were absolutely appalled at the way he talked to me and helped me find a very professional towing service that got me towed easily and safely. Tim's towing even refuses to pull my vehicle out of harms way and Azle police have documented that. This man behaved abusively to two middle aged women that simply needed the vehicle towed and out of the heat and was willing to pay whatever necessary. That being said, so many kind strangers helped me, from trying to get my vehicle started, offering me water, and then got me a professional towing company. This towing service is aweful! AAA dispatched them when we ordered a tow truck. They were suppose to change the tire and tow it to a shop. They did not change the tire and told me they would not! They parked it in the wrong spot at the shop even after being told where to park the vehicle. And on top of that it took them 25 min longer then us to get our truck to the shop. This tells me they took a long way to add extra miles. read more

Let me begin by stating that before now I have never taken the time to compose a Yelp review. What I witnessed today from Tim, of Tim's Towing, has compelled me to do so for the 1st time. Thankfully, I was not the poor lady in need of a tow, but went to offer whatever assistance I might be able to give to the lady, as it was over 100 degrees and this was a slightly older lady, so I felt bad for her. Just as I was offering the lady in distress a boost in case that would help, Tim's Towing pulled up w/ Tim, apparently, behind the wheel. The lady had used her Triple AAA membership & this is who they sent. When it was explained that a boost had already been attempted and that the lady needed a tow, this man turned his back and got back into his truck, stating that a tow would have to wait until "later" (whatever that means), so both myself and the stranded driver asked how long did "later" mean (she had been stranded in the heat for an hr at this point) and was also broken down in a dangerous location & needed help to get herself & her vehicle just mere feet to a safer location. At this point, from the seat of the truck, he simply smirked and said "I don't know, I've got another call". This man handled himself and this situation in a manner I've never seen a true professional behave, not to mention any decent man talk to an older lady in clear distress in the manner Tim did. He was rude, nasty and cocky, from the moment he arrived on the scene. He used offensive language, to a lady no less, and actually told her "she could walk for all her cared" as he drove off, leaving her stranded in the exact same dangerous location. I am beyond appalled at what I witnessed, as were the several other customers at this business where the vehicle broke down that came to the lady's aid. Myself and at least one other stranger stayed with her (she later explained that she suffers from MS!!) until another tow company was contacted and arrived to help this lady and fellow human being. I believe that one of the other strangers was so upset & appalled at what she had witnessed that she even PAID for this lady's tow. Thank goodness for people like her. Monsters like Tim w/ Tim's Towing are not needed in this world, especially in the current world environment we are all dealing with today. We need less "Tim's" and more humans like the many that stepped in after witnessing such a horrible and sad scenario play out before their very eyes. Tim isn't fit to be in normal civilization and the last thing I would recommend is utilizing this person's services for anything at all. Ever. Also, take note of the attached photos. These are two warnings given when I attempted to view his business website. Something is very fishy here. His website is either fake, or you run the risk of Tim hacking your personal information!! AAA dispatched them to tow our vehicle. The driver said he needed to send out a different truck that was better equipped for the situation. He was very polite and we waited for another truck to come out. Three hours later we were told that they refused to come back to our house because we interfered with the driver doing his job and we only found out because we checked the status. I called and spoke to Tim and he just said ok. I'm very confused by Tim's Towing. I had to sell my Suburban that they towed because it cost me 800.00 to get it out and I told them that. I said this ruins me and was told oh well by Tim. I sold the car to my brother who has AAA the car got a flat and the back wheel wouldn't come off so he called AAA to come out and fix it guess who the tow company was yes you guessed it Tim's towing. Scam artists and crooks! We had hit a deer and the car was totalled. We called our insurance who sent out Tim's towing. The lady that came told us she could either tow it to a body shop or to their own wrecking yard for no cost to store it for one day. We said ok lets take it to the wrecking yard. We show up at 8:00am the next day and Tim tried to charge us and then wouldn't let us take the car if we didn't pay. He was the most unprofessional businessman I have ever met. He was cursing and just disgusting. My husband threatened to call the cops and then Tim changed his tune and towed it to the body shop for free! He knew that we meant business and we knew he was holding our car illegally and trying to charge us illegally. read more

This guy is an a**hole!! AAA sent him out to me and when he got here he caused a scene with our neighbors and refused to tow my car unless I paid him cash. When I refused to pay cash he got in his truck and left. Then called me and wanted cash again and when I AGAIN refused he told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. Driver was 5 minutes away and cancelled the tow job with AAA stating that he could not get to the dealership in time (drive to dealership would take 40 minutes) within 2 hours. Filed complaint with AAA because driver lied since it was later in the day and probably didn't want to work late. I would highly recommend telling AAA to send another roadside service if they tell you that Tim's Towing will be coming. I had an issue with my front axle and called AAA to request a tow. Tim from Tim's towing showed up and immediately began photographing my truck without any kind of communication. Tim then told me that he had brought the wrong truck for the job and would need a flatbed for the tow. He told me that because I had off-road tires (truck is not even lifted) that AAA would not cover my service. He then told me that he would go get a flatbed and tow me the 5 miles if I offered him $200 cash. I told him I was not interested, and he drove off. I contacted a AAA supervisor who told me that this was absolutely incorrect, and that they would be happy to make a note of my tires for the next technician. I'm certain we are not the first people to fall victim to this con man, and I feel sorry for the people that actually fall for it. He takes advantage of tired/ stressed people that have possibly been waiting hours for a petty cash grab. He chooses whatever jobs are easy and thinks his time is more valuable than anyone else's. Any employee from a larger towing service would get fired for acting in such a way, but Tim gets away with it and endorses these fraudulent business practices. read more

Do NOT call these people unless you have absolutely, no other options Called these guys for a tire change. Mine blew out, as I went over a curb and the jack in the trunk of my car was broken. I talked to Tim I believe who said for $60 he will send a dispatch to me in 9 minutes. After 15 minutes passing by I called him and he told me again how his dispatch would be there in 20 minutes. After another 50 minutes wait in the steel-melting heat of Texas, someone finally showed up and did the 5 minutes work needed to change a single tire. He then took my credit card from me, wrote the numbers down wrong, only to Tim calling me twice on my Friday for re-verifications. Conclusion being that Tim's Towing WILL make you regret your business with them, unless, otherwise, you would have been attacked by grizzlies. read more

Well, others may be have had a bad experience but mine was great and I felt compelled to review after reading the bad ones. This happened about 2 years ago, I was on my way to a funeral outside of Decatur TX when I got a flat tire. It was very cold and windy outside, and because of bad shoulder and knees it's hard for me to change a tire. Plus, I didn't have the appropriate clothing to be outside in the temp for that long. So I called AAA and they sent Tim's Towing. It took about an hour and a half for them to get there, but they came! That's all that counts. The service tech was named Shawn or Sean brought his family along and was extremely nice and helpful. Plus he had one of those insulated over-suits that allow you to work in cold temps. I felt bad because I didn't have any money right then to give him a tip but certainly would have gladly given him $20 if I had it. He really didn't seem to mind. Tim's is used by AAA for towing in the area. So I've had them tow me 4 or 5 times. Out of those 4 or 5 times I've had one ok tow. The driver, (always the same one) was rude obnoxious and unhelpful. One time my son and I were stranded and only one of us could ride home in the tow. My son had to call a friend to get him home. My opinion was there was room for the 3 of us in the cab. The last time Tim's towed me, was the last time that Tim's was ever gonna tow me. I was following behind in a different car this time, by 5 minutes. When Tim's first got there, he said that he would not take it to the shop I chose for repairs. Then he said he would leave it on the shoulder of the road in front of the shop, but would not go onto the shop's property. Fine ok. He proceeded to hook my car up like a repo hook up. He then took my car to the shop and holding to what he told me, he left my care in front of the shop on the shoulder of the road. As the shop owner told me when I got there, the driver didn't even stop to unhook the car. He just slowed down and dropped it. I guess you can do that with a repo hook up and without a proper hook up for towing. I reported Tim's Towing to AAA and told them to put a LARGE RED FLAG on my account signaling to avoid sending them to me, EVER AGAIN. read more

We had a flat tire in our driveway. AAA sent out Tim's Towing to change the flat. The technician said he could plug the nail hole for $20.00. We paid $20.00 to have the nail hole plugged and gave the technician a $20.00 tip. The tire was not plugged and continued to leak air. Called AAA again and again AAA sent out Tim's Towing to fix it. Greg from Tim's Towing informed us the first technician didn't have the tools to "plug" the nail hole. When we asked for our money back and the name of the first technician Greg claimed he was going to give us $20. out of his wallet but decided against it because of "how you're acting." Honestly, until I asked "What about the $40.00 we're out with that first guy and still have a flat tire? What was his name?" there wasn't an issue. Greg refused to give the name of the original technician who scammed us out of $40.00. I called the number of Tim's Towing on their business card and it goes to Gregg's cell phone. The only contact number for Tim's Towing AAA has is the one that forwards to Greg's phone. BEWARE of Tim's Towing it's a crooked operation with crooked technicians. When contacted, AAA informed us that none of their service providers are allowed to offer additional roadside assistance like "plugging" a tire. Read Google Reviews and see that Tim's Towing has been scamming people for, at least, the past 2 years. Contact the Texas State Attorney General's office and report this SCAM operation. read more
