The gas pumps are up to date and seem to be better than before as far as theft is concerned. I know there was a scare before, but now they have upgraded security to prevent those problems. At night you can see this store all the way at the other end of town. The facility seems to stay very clean and tidy. The pump that we were on spewed gas everywhere. We told him and he refused to give the full amount back. Then, we simply asked to transfer the gas to the other pump and he refused to give the amount of gas back that was wasted on the ground. We had to go back in the gas station several times because he continuously acted like he didn't understand what the problem was when it was thoroughly and clearly explained. He was rude and argumentative! He began to pretend that he didn't understand the language, but since he was the only one out front, it was crystal clear that his employer knew that he understood everything very well! He argued and acted like we were trying to take more than we paid for at the pump. It was only less than $2 that he needed to give back!!! We had another place to go and be on time. He cost us at least an extra 20 minutes of time that we should've had to eat and relax. We also had on our Sunday-go-meeting clothes, and ladies, you all know how uncomfortable that can be sometimes. It was 100 degrees!! We were burning up, and that guy made us walk in and out of that gas station over FOUR times, back and forth over LESS THAN $2!! He knew that all he had to do was add it back to the other pump that he told us to move our car over to at that time. He also did not offer any receipt. ALWAYS get a gas receipt there if you just have nowhere else to go besides this awful place. We tried to get receipts at the pump, there was no paper in the machine at the pump for the receipt to be printed on either. It seems that this employee was having a very bad day and was looking for the first customer with any issue that he could take it out on. Horrible experience!!!

It's older for sure, the bathrooms are acceptable, and could be cleaner, but honestly, you can thank your fellow traveler for the conditions most of the time (people never cease to amaze me). They have everything you need and then some in the store. They do have a food area inside that sells a plethora of items in case you're hungrier than just snack hungry. The prices for snacks, drinks, etc. are just like any other store of this caliber. I didn't think the employees were rude, nor friendly...just doing the job and handling customers as quickly as they could. Anyway, how can you not love the name of the place?

And just being a smart ass and said, "Yeah, they call me... Tater Salad" or Tater for short. Okay enough cracking myself up, so I mention food and yes they have all the expected snack stuff but they have a full kitchen that serves food all day long and into the night. Lot of fried stuff, chicken, fish, liver & gizzard, tater babies (whatever that is), burgers, and even salads. Plus, they have Hunts Brother's pizza, and I like that. Their new posted hours for serving food is: Mon-Fri 4am-10pm & Sat-Sun 6am-10pm Bottom line: It's an Exxon station with food and an acceptable restroom :-)
