I really can't say enough good things about TPCS. From start to finish they were friendly, helpful,…read moreopen, honest, straightforward, and maybe most importantly patient as we navigated an extremely technically challenging stove/chimney install together. I truly appreciated their thorough and thoughtful approach to everything, including steering us away from our initial request to one that worked better for our house despite it being a less expensive project overall. The final product looks great and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making sure everything fit and looked perfect, and as our house is an Earthship, anyone who has lived in one can tell you how difficult that can be! I would recommend them to anyone looking for chimney, fireplace, or stove services in the Taos area.

Estimate for chimney liner…read moreinstallation and firebox repair was extraordinarily high and they were totally unwilling to discuss alternative approaches. Furthermore, they would not provide a range of estimates for possible subsequent work. The feeling was that they were upselling their services with no compromise or discussion. We subsequently had three more estimates done by licensed contractors, all coming in at less than one third of Bailey's (incomplete) estimate. The work was completed at one quarter of Bailey's estimate.

He did not come prepared to install a chimney cap, and told us we should just do it ourselves. We pressed him on it and were told to call his boss if we had a problem. I recently hired Devyn at Cooking Clean to service and repair our two gas fireplaces. While there…read morewas some initial confusion about pricing due to a misunderstanding over gas versus wood-burning fireplaces, Devyn promptly resolved the issue professionally and adjusted the invoice to reflect what was initially discussed. The service included maintenance, chimney sweeps, and repairs on both of our gas fireplaces. He carefully cleaned, adjusted the logs, replaced the burning embers, and ensured everything was functioning properly. He even taught me how to use them (lol) and recommended some decorative fireplace screens to keep our littles safe around the open flames and mentioned we should by plug-in carbon monoxide sensors to make sure we stay safe. For the repairs, he took extra steps to fix the gas valve and get the pilot working correctly on both fireplaces, which we really appreciated. Overall, while there was a hiccup in communication about pricing, Devyn was responsive, professional, and willing to work with us to make things right. What more can you ask for? Honest and hardworking. I would recommend his services and appreciate his dedication to quality work. We have two warming, beautiful functioning fireplaces now. Thank you!

Leroy Chacon of High Desert Hearth Products cam highly recommended to us but a few people in our area. After speaking to him a few times we had an appointment for the installation. During that process, Leroy and his son Lee were very friendly and professional. Now that it's all done we have really nice tile pad/hearth and on it sits our nice wood stove.
