It was a Sunday morning. Brought vehicle to Town and Country and left keys in drop box for Monday. We live in the greater Detroit area. Curtis got the vehicle in and diagnosed the issue. Curtis said that the vehicle went into limp mode due to low oil pressure and an oils sample showed metal bits. He said he was not sure that replacing the failed part would fix the car due to the issue possibly caused by the low oil pressure. I decided to not repair the vehicle and scrap it instead. Curtis allowed me to keep it at the shop for about 5 days no issue until I could get my ducks in a row with a scrap yard and a replacement vehicle for my son. He was very understanding of the issue and accommodating. He even gave us a discount on the diagnostic fee he performed on the vehicle! I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would bring my vehicle service/repair needs to Town and Country and Curtis!

It was a Saturday afternoon and the dealership's repair shop closed at 3:00 PM. We saw Mavis Tire & Brakes had a 5 star rating and drove to the shop. The signs say "Tuffy Tire & Auto" but it was the correct address. I went in and described our concern, and Brian (who had been at the service desk) said he'd look at it. Within a minute the car was in a service bay. Brian gave everything a quick inspection, confirmed the sound was coming from the right rear, and took the wheel, caliper and disc off. He discovered an emergency brake spring that was loose and causing the sound. He got everything sorted and had us on our way in less than 20 minutes! When I asked him how much we owed, he really surprised me, telling me that he wasn't going to charge us for such a small job! It might have been an easy quick job for Brian, but it saved our day for sure!
