The service in this shoe repair bar is second to none! The little shop area has bar type stools for you to sit on and wait whilst the cobblers (do they still call them that?) fix the heels on your favourite party shoes. The location is ideal - if you don't have the patience to wait you can go to shopping in the rest of the Eastgate Centre. Timpsons Shoe Repair bar in the Eastgate Centre Inverness is excellent. Even if there was a huge choice of shoe repair outlets to choose from, I think I would choose this one in particular every time. I live a hundred miles away and Inverness is the nearest place where I can get my shoes and boots repaired. The staff is efficient and friendly. You generally only have to wait around 20 mins for shoes to be heeled but you can drop your shoes off and collect them later when you've finished shopping. You can also get your keys cut there and they offer an engraving service. You can also buy things like tankards, Zippo lights (some very attractive ones, I sometimes wished I smoked again so I could buy one!)and they also do sterling silver jewellery. The cost of heeling a pair of ladies heeled boots costs around £4 or so but they will always tell you how much the work will cost before they do the job.
