The seaside town of Nairn boasts two championshlp golf courses as well as beautiful beaches. lt's also famous for the hugely popular Nairn Book and Arts Festival.
A few miles away is the 14th-century Cawdor Castle, filled with fascinating artefacts, antiques and furniture. Visitors can tour the beautiful grounds as well as the castle ltself. Brodie Castle is another of the area's popular attractions. You can explore sheltered woodland walks or stroll by the pond, observing the estate's varied wildlife. There is a good path network leading out from the town up the River Nairn, connecting with Cawdor, and eastwards into die Culbin Forest and the RSPB reserve of Culbin Sands.
