I live a hundred miles away and Inverness is the nearest place where I can get my shoes and boots repaired. The staff is efficient and friendly. You generally only have to wait around 20 mins for shoes to be heeled but you can drop your shoes off and collect them later when you've finished shopping. You can also get your keys cut there and they offer an engraving service. You can also buy things like tankards, Zippo lights (some very attractive ones, I sometimes wished I smoked again so I could buy one!)and they also do sterling silver jewellery. The cost of heeling a pair of ladies heeled boots costs around £4 or so but they will always tell you how much the work will cost before they do the job.
