Initially, I must say I was puzzled by the lack of attentiveness being it was my first visit however I thought it may just be me... so my thinking altered to, maybe Dr. Kutas is a veteran at this ?! Unfortunately, my instincts were right. After careful consideration and research, I read reviews informing me of the exact questionable actions I experienced. There are too many vulnerable patients that trusted Dr. Kutas whom bypassed dignity and integrity for payment of services not needed or wrongfully done in hopes of suggesting additional services. I empathize with those that have experienced this and it's unfortunate. Some may handle their situation a little differently being they were intentionally scammed for personal gain/greed while others can... If you believe a dentist is engaging in a scam, you should take specific steps to gather evidence and report the fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities. I went and was highly pleased with all parts of my visit. I had two teeth removed. It's easy to get on any website and criticize but it takes true belief that a product or service is good to write a good review. This is a good review for Dr. Kutas and the staff I met. Noone likes to go to the dentist but when you are in pain and NEED a dentist the only thing you want to know is where can I find a good dentist. Dr. Kutas is a good dentist.. Kutas drilled a hole in my tongue and refused to pay for treatment even after several months of pain, loss of sleep and trouble eating

My husband and I both have been to this office now after recently moving to Memphis. My experience was that the staff is unprofessional and loud. My husband had a procedure and did not get any instructions for what to expect after the numbing agent wore off. Luckily I am in the medial field myself and knew what to do. I plan on switching our dental care as soon as I can. This dentist does not explain anything to the patients and I am very disappointed with his bedside manor. read more

Avoid at all costs!!! I had two crowns done by him a couple of years ago. He didn't fit them on right and now I have decay and both have to be replaced! He is not a painless dentist either! He's rough and when he put my permanent crowns on (both at the same time) he didn't even numb me, knowing that I did not have root canals done on those teeth! My husband uses him and constantly has his crowns falling out. In addition, a few months ago he went in to have a small filling, which turned into a root canal and crown by the time this butcher was done. If you're new in Memphis and looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Scott Edwards or Dr. Greg Kemp. Don't waste you money or tooth health on this guy! read more

Kutas is the worst dentist I have been to - I literally did not realize they could be this bad. Besides the fact that he keeps a dirty looking office, smokes and then sticks his smelly fingers in your mouth.. I needed to have two front temporary crowns replaced with something permanent. Had I known what I was in for, I would have left the temps in place as there was no issue besides the fact they were temporary and years old - yet fit and looked just like every other tooth - completely unnoticeable. Kutas recommended the replacement. The replacements were much bigger than the previous teeth - so without telling me he grounded the edges off the sides of my surrounding permanent teeth to make the crowns fit. And the crowns looked terrible. When I asked about the appearance, I was told that they all looked that way and would look natural as soon my gums accommodated the new crowns. And they just looked terrible - people from work noticed that I had work done from as far away as down a short hall. After multiple comments, I had the crowns redone as an out pocket expense as insurance had already been spent on the two awful crowns. I called my insurance company and Kutas and they would not pay for the rework so this cost me a few extra grand. And I'm still left with the two teeth that he ground off so each is about half of their original size - with only whatever compound they use to try and make up for the other half - which is probably noticeable. If I have them properly replaced, this will cost at least a grand a tooth and will not be covered by insurance as well - so another 2 grand because of this guy. This guys is awful - would not trust them for anything more than a simple cleaning read more

I hate having my teeth worked on! That drilling sound is awful. I have bad teeth, and this was my 15th crown. Although I hate going to the dentist, I enjoy going to Dr. Kutas' office. I have had dental issues most of my life and grew to absolutely dread going to the dentist. The last one I went to had no sensitivity or concern whatsoever: she wanted her money. She even told one patient who came to her in agony to "suck it up." In similar fashion, her staff were robotic Stepford wives programmed for rudeness and extortion. This man was recommended to me by multiple colleagues, and since I have been going to him, I have never been more pleased. He is a gentle giant and a superb dentist. His staff treats me like family, they are fair in terms of cost, and I wouldn't leave them for the world. If I had one critique it would be that the staff and he stay very busy and may not anticipate questions, so speak up: he will listen. Perhaps naysayers might consider whether or not they were good patients. read more

When I first found Dr. Kutas he was a small office with friendly staff. The new office is warm and friendly when you enter, however the attitude of the dentist and his staff have changed through the years. He took on an attitude when he did not read my chart and take directions to my latex allergy and need for n20 as if it is my fault I did not say anything to him. I have never had to explain my chart to to a dentist while he is sitting in front of it pulled up on a computer. I had two crown fittings and each crown broke and he refused to replace either one. I am a self paying customer and I know the crown does have a warranty on them if they are less than a year old. I do not feel as this office gives customers respect. read more

Dr. Kutas and his staff are the greatest, I have never ever had any problem with him nor his staff. They are always professional and friendly and very informative. He took the brace off my daughters teeth without charging us anything. He also has the best manners, he listen and often make great suggestion on how to continue with proper oral care. I have an phobia of the dentist and he has help me overcome that phobia. He's still the best dentist I have encounter and his staff is too.He is the greatest dentist I have been too. Horrible service! He is extremely rude with absolutely no bedside manner. He didn't explain the procedure even after I asked him to. Didn't communicate with me at all through the procedure. And to top it off, he performed the root canal poorly so I have to have another one done and my crown developed a hole in it and subsequently just fell out! So I will now be stuck with the bill as insurance will not pay for it! Choose your dentist wisely! Avoid this dentist at all costs! read more

Dr. Kutas is not just my favorite dentist in Memphis, he is my favorite health care professional in any field, in any city in North America. He has a wonderful bedside manner, which matters quite a bit for a dentist, and his staff is just as kind and soothing. The work he has done on my bad Anglo teeth has stood the test of time. If you have to be treated by a dentist, you want this to be the man. I have flown back to Memphis from California just to have him take care of me. His prices are much better than any other dentist I have seen, but I would pay twice as much for this level of quality and care. read more
