I need to make sure I get this right or according to Dr. Thomason, "He will sue my ass!" I had an appointment with Tim after seeing his associate Dr. Zhou 3 days earlier. I thought my original appointment was with him but according to his office staff, I made an appointment with his associate. She spent all of about 3 and a half minutes with me. Didn't tell me why or what she was doing to my ear that had been clogged for nearly a month. She did answer my one question I asked before she started and that was at the end of this treatment will my ear be unclogged? She said yes, it would be. It wasn't, I left with the same clogged ear. I told her I had been to several Dr's and PA's prior to coming to see an ENT and that I was dubious. She actually told me to "give her some confidence." Let me be clear I'm not a fan of the new way medicine is administered - Seemingly no concern for the patient only the assurance that the patient and their insurance can pay. When I had no relief over the weekend I was back the next day the office was opened only to learn I would have to make an appointment (with a total new charge) the next day. When you show up at their office, you must pay first - you know like you do when you go to a nice restaurant - before you're allowed to see the "doctor." Tim brought in a "witness" to be in the room with us so she could corroborate whatever. He was defensive from the moment he walked in. I was a problem it seemed. He checked my ears and wala, he said they were clear! He suggested a hearing test and when I balked (due to an additional charge) I asked how a hearing test is going to clear my ear? When I told him I didn't like his business model of paying up front, he said that is what it takes to keep the doors opened. He said that too many of his clients would just leave without paying. I suggested that if that were the case he could call the police, he has all their information, but he said he'd have the police out all day long. Let that sink in before you chose to see Tim. When I said "doctors today are all about the money", he said "that's it you can leave now." I assured him I would be writing a review and as I started with, I have spoken 100% truth because I sure wouldn't want my ass sued! read more
