I felt like she…read moregave me a thorough exam, and she took the time to educate me about what products I should use. Many of the people at Sierra Eye Group were great. The assistant to the doctor was so sweet and kind, I had to tell the doctor what a wonderful employee she had. The person who helped me pick out my glasses and sunglasses, made the experience fun and enjoyable. The issue was filling my prescription for my sunglasses. I was excited to pick up my new sunglasses. When I tried to pick them up the first time, the tint was too light. The people at Sierra Eye Group were very apologetic about the situation but they explained that what happened at the lab was out of their control. Today, I went to pick them up for a third time, once again the tint was too light. I spoke to one of the managers. She said my order was written for a level 3 tint and today the tint on my glasses was a level 2. The manager had spoken to the person who had helped me originally, and that person said when my glasses were done for the first time the tint was a 1. During the course of the conversation, the manager told me that if I didn't allow them to send it back to one of the labs, they wouldn't fill any of my future prescriptions. I asked why. I was told that they wouldn't be able to meet my standards and that would be the case for future glasses. BASICALLY, I WAS THE PROBLEM. I asked to speak to one of the owners. She told me they didn't have time and I could write them a letter. I realized they were probably seeing patients. If the manager had given me an email address or if she would have said she would talk to the owners about the situation, I would have heard. Instead, I felt: 1. I'm being unreasonable for wanting my classes to be done correctly the first time. 2. I was threatened that if I didn't allow them to send my glasses to one of their labs they work with, I would be refused future services. Please know that I won't put myself in this situation again. 3. My situation wasn't important enough to bother the owners. What is frustrating is the lack of accountability. I understand that Sierra Eye Group isn't in control of the work the lab does. However, they are aware that this lab doesn't consistently do acceptable work. Yet, they still work with that lab, and because of that I still have sunglasses that aren't done correctly. I'm not sure which is worse, how the situation was handled or having to return my glasses for a second time.

I made an appointment for an eye exam, and arrived promptly on time for this exam. When I entered,…read moreI was not greeted by the three staff members, who were talking amongst each other, although there was nobody else inside the clinic aside from me. I addressed one of the staff, and I was told that the doctor assigned to perform my eye exam was on a lunch break. This is because the doctor's previous appointments ran overtime, and he/she was unable to leave for his/her lunch break at his/her regular time. Instead, the doctor left for a lunch break at precisely the time I was scheduled for my eye exam. I live an hour away from Visalia - the place where my appointment was to be held. I purposely freed my schedule to make this appointment. I drove an hour to my appointment, and would now have to drive an hour back, without any results. I was first told that the doctor would be back in an hour, and I could either wait an hour to be seen, or reschedule my appointment. Though I was upset to hear this, I was ready to wait an hour to finally be seen. Another member of the staff then notified me that I would have to, in fact, wait longer than the previously mentioned hour to be seen. This is because there were people ahead of my appointment time, who were not yet seen by the doctor, because previous appointments from earlier in the day ran overtime, and now the doctor went to lunch. This staff member explained that the doctor cannot control this schedule, which is why the appointments ran overtime, and other people besides myself would have to wait more than an hour to be seen. There seems to be no respect for the time of their customers. It doesn't make sense to then schedule people if the doctor cannot keep up with the appointments, such that everyone can be met in a timely manner. Furthermore, I was not notified of this delay ahead of time, and had to drive an hour in order to learn this information. This place will disappoint anyone who has an expectation of satisfactory service. This is a private establishment, which seems to have no care for the wellbeing of its customers, which necessarily affects the wellbeing of its business. I am indeed very disappointed, and if you value your time, this is not the place to service your needs. I regret not looking at the reviews of this place before I made the appointment. Now, I see how 1 and 2 star reviews are consistently cropping up. I am wondering how these reviews keep cropping up; it seems as though the business owners are completely ignoring people's comments about their experiences. I am, however, glad that I avoided this service completely, having read some of the stories of others who were not as fortunate.

Was there waiting time, in between tests? Yes. But nothing out of the ordinary. I don't mind at all and even relish the quiet moments. Overall, I woud totally recommend Dr. Feil!
