Nice, kind nurses who bring warm blankets; doctors who take the time to explain what to expect. I always have difficulties waking easily from anesthesia but no one got upset with me or rushed me. I am pretty sure I will not need surgery and that's a huge relief! When I walked in there several weeks ago, I was limping, barely able to walk, and had to be driven there. I was in such bad shape that I would wake up crying in pain. From there, I am now mostly pain-free and I've regained the mobility I had lost in my left leg. Also, the front desk staff, nurses and medical assistants (not sure of all the proper titles) are all really nice people. I particularly enjoyed the upbeat attitude of the red-headed lady who did my intake - wish I had remembered her name. It is very easy to get an appointment, and you don't sit around waiting for a long time. The waiting room is small but has nice magazines and a TV, and the facility has parking, which is important! I found it convenient to drive to and locate the facility, which is right in a cute part of Wellesley near the Quebrada bakery. The doctor is an empathetic person who took time with me to understand my problems, gave me the appropriate treatment that has helped me go back to "living life", and answered all of my questions. I just feel very lucky to have been recommended to this place and now I'm recommending it to you! (if you need such things, but then you wouldn't be looking at this review if you didn't think you might need some medical intervention.)

I've been a patient of Dr. Joshua Katz since I was first diagnosed with MS, and he's everything you want a doctor to be. He's one of the most intelligent people I know, but he's not afraid to say "I don't know" and to consult with colleagues and literature to get more information for you. As I write this, he's in Stockholm at the ECTRIMS congress to learn about the latest MS research and developments, and he's sharing updates with ELC patients on their Facebook page. He's hosted live online Q&As for patients, and it seems that whenever I email him with a question or concern, I have a response within an hour or two--even on weekends. And Dr. Katz is just one member of the team at the ELC! I've never met a patient of Dr. Ellen Lathi who isn't breathlessly praising her performance. I had my first appointment with Dr. Kenneth Gorson last week for intramuscular Botox injections, and I was so impressed by his ability to understand and address my movement issues. Their other staff members--from the reception desk to the infusion room--are so helpful and efficient that I actually enjoy days spent there hooked up to an IV. Dr. Sussman performed a Tenex procedure on my right ankle for a Haglund Deformity/bone spur just a week ago and the healing process and results have been amazing. I had minor to moderate pain for just a few days but much less than I had expected. I have been able to return to normal activities in less than a week and the pain I lived with for more than a year due to the haglund deformity is gone. All of the other doctors in Southern California told me that Tenex was not an option and that my condition required an open surgery under general anesthesia and I would have many months of pain and healing. Dr Sussman performed the procedure in less than 15 minutes under local anesthesia, numbing the ankle area only. It was well worth the flight to Boston and back home to Los Angeles. I highly recommend Boston Sports and Biologics. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Sussman is probably the premier physician in the country, if not the world, using this procedure.
