He's very upbeat, energetic but no nonsense. He clearly explained to be the benefits/risks of the surgery. And overall, it went very well. I am without pain and am back to running. The follow-ups went well and I felt very confident he knew what he was doing. I really like him personally. Cons: He's speaks very quickly and seems a bit rushed at time, however he will take the time to answer any questions, but prepare your questions first! you might forget when you are in there! Another con: it's tough to get an appointment with him, but that's a sign of a GOOD doctor!

They are great note takers and track my progress, asking very targeted follow-up questions and then emailing at-home exercise and stretching routines. BSM actually changed my life…read more After my second pregnancy, my diastasis recti was pretty bad, 2.5-3 finger separation at 6 months pp. I saw a physical therapist at HVMA who told me it was completely normal, and to come back in a year if it was still so bad. I almost gave up, but a friend strongly encouraged me to try again to find someone who could help. That's when I went to BSM and found my kick ass (and sweet and lovely and smart) physical therapist Kimberly Breslin and I AM A PT CONVERT. I had the most epic sciatic experience of my life. Starting in May I thought with chiro and…read moremovement I could get through it. But for some reason I was not improving. This required real detective work. I started working with Tom in July. We began examining symptoms and doing therapies. What made my case challenging was that the way the pain would present itself kept shifting. The only constant was I couldn't sit. But it started in May in my SI joint and then moved to other places. In September I finally noticed a big knot in my lumbar spine and that proved to be the key symptom which led to the curing treatment. What Tom did best was take time, listen and work with me through this challenge. That's also the nice part about PT is the length of time of each visit. It allowed me to share what I learned from my workouts and daily activity and give Tom feedback that he could explore. Then in one session, on September once we found the source symptom and figured out the cause, my pain went from a 10 to a 2 in one session. Further work has lowered to a 1. I still have other things to work on (more strength and stability) but Tom helped me get my life back. Awesome work.

She has a chronic problem, so there is no easy fix, but they took the time to really assess the problem and provided exercise to help. Lo and behold, I found myself in need of PT when the practice at my HMO was filled. I asked if I could go to this practice instead, and I am glad I did. They really take the time to understand the "why" of your problem. I appreciate that they do that and not just throw exercises at you. I am very pleased with my therapist, Connor, and already believe I am seeing progress after two weeks.

Dr. Sussman performed a Tenex procedure on my right ankle for a Haglund Deformity/bone spur just a week ago and the healing process and results have been amazing. I had minor to moderate pain for just a few days but much less than I had expected. I have been able to return to normal activities in less than a week and the pain I lived with for more than a year due to the haglund deformity is gone. All of the other doctors in Southern California told me that Tenex was not an option and that my condition required an open surgery under general anesthesia and I would have many months of pain and healing.
