Dr. Zuroff has such great experience and decided that he would like to save the tooth opposed to extraction and replacement. He went about this in a very informed manner by first getting a 3D image of my mouth. He spent time during the procedure to assess the health of the tooth too. Everything went great and I have been happy with the outcome! Dr. Zuroff made everything painless - I didn't feel any pain! They played nice music during the procedure too which was very nice. The Canton office where the procedure was performed was modern, clean, comfortable and peaceful. The Office staff at both Canton and Dearborn were also exceptionally nice and professional. A+ Service! I wish all Dr. were as knowledgeable, experienced, and professional as Dr. Zuroff - he is my go to Dr. for root canals and dental extractions!

Then I came here, and met Dr. Kayla and Kim and explained my fear, and what my concerns were, and how I felt about my appearance. Dr. Kayla and the whole team jumped in to action and not only made me feel like my concerns were valid and important, especially about my appearance, but they made a plan to correct it and in a very timely manner so I could finally really smile. The tooth was massively infected at that time, and I'm sure technically difficult for the dentist who performed the procedure, but it held for all that time... until it didn't The tooth flared up and started causing severe pain. The dentist who performed the original root canal had since retired, so I was referred to Dr. Aminlari at A2. After a CT scan of my jaw, he recommended an apicoectomy. This is a procedure that trims the infected roots from the previously treated tooth and removes the infected areas of bone (replacing them with bone graft) so the infection does not recur. Dr. Aminlari showed me the imaging of my tooth and explained the procedure thoroughly, making sure I had a good understanding of the pre-operative prep, the procedure itself, and what aftercare, recovery, and follow-up would look like. The procedure itself was a breeze. I received a LOT of local anesthetic, and Dr. Aminlari and his assistant checked on me frequently to make sure I was OK- positioned comfortably and feeling no pain from the procedure. I could tell they had been working together for awhile because their interaction during the procedure was so smooth and intuitive. Afterwards, I was given a written set of aftercare instructions, which the staff reviewed with me again. I paid for the procedure (which honestly was less than I'd expected to pay!). I should add that I had been contacted in advance with the amount I'd be responsible for out of pocket- the staff wanted to make sure there would be no surprises I just returned from my 1 week follow-up and again was treated so well by everyone from the front office staff to the assistant to Dr. Aminlari himself. You can certainly tell when people care about their jobs and genuinely want the best experience for their patients, and that is exactly what you'll find at A2 Endo

Two years later, we went in for cleanings. I have never accepted fluoride & we only do x-rays at the minimum my insurance allows. This was nothing new, but this time Booker seemed offended & expressed his frustration to me. I said that was my wishes & we hadn't had an issue before, but he wanted to argue. I declined, finished the cleaning & left. 6 months later I went in & needed to get an old filling replaced. I had just had a doctor's appt where she told me to be careful what type of filling I get for medical reasons. When I expressed this to Booker & asked questions about what he uses he said he wanted my doctor's name because he was going to tell her she didn't know what she was talking about. I said that is very aggressive & he proceeded to tell me that I just need to let him do his job. He could not tell me what type of filling material he used or any health risks. He then started ranting about people who ask too many questions. I declined for him to do my work. His attitude & aggressive behavior is disturbing. He has an attitude like no one knows more than him, but he can't even tell you the materials he uses. I decided then I would not return. The next time my husband took my kids, the receptionist asked him if he was competent enough to make follow up appointments or if she should call me. Extremely sexist & just plan rude. My kids then did not return. My husband was the last holdout, until now. This week, he has an emergency. He was in a car accident & cracked a tooth. He called the office at 11 am to find out they had different hours for spring break... they closed at noon. However they didn't answer the phone at 11 am... he left a message to say he had an emergency. Nothing. No call back. He called again today & it says now that they are closed until Monday. He then received a message saying they wouldn't take care of him until Monday. Who closes their office for Spring Break? This business is so unprofessional. We're done.

On June 24th, 2004 I had my appointment for a root canal and Dr. Racek reminded me about possible outcomes and also reassured me that the procedure wouldn't hurt and ya know what?!? He was right. He applied the gel that numbed the area for the needle and told me I'd feel a little poke but I felt nothing at all. The last 2 injections I felt a teeny bit but that's not even worth mentioning here. (Although as you can see, I did mention it here.) They let the anesthesia set in and soon Dr. Racek began his work. His calm and confidence rested easily on my mind, and he'd reassure me telling me things were going well. The 2 gals that assisted him showed perfection at their own jobs and they worked together supremely well. All 3 of them, really. I was told the procedure could last an hour to an hour and a half, but with the expertise and the perfectly scripted requirements of each of their positions, they were done in just over half an hour. I was in awe, dumbfounded and amazed at the end of it. Done so soon? Wow! Not to mention I was very happy, too. Back at home the anesthesia wore off after a bit and I had no pain at all. She said no that if the dentist needs a particular picture of a certain area, then he would have to take them .I then asked her if he will need to take further x-rays, will I be able to decline ?and she said no.
