I can say that I love my dentist. Dr. John is the most kind and gentle man. I have always been nervous for those dreaded fillings but Dr. John and his staff make each instance comfortable. He is very professional and knows his stuff! Everything is carefully explained- procedures, pricing, insurance- this leaves nothing to guessing! Michelle the hygienist is a wonderful woman as well! She is gentle, experienced and very friendly! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this office, Dr. John and his staff! I hope he never retires!

I have always been responsible with paying in a timely manner, except one which slipped my mind. When we arrived for the appointment I was told either to pay for today's services or services would not be rendered. I did not have my card with me and asked if I could pay when I had it. I asked if they had the card on file. I was rudely told I would not go to Meijer and not pay there. I explained I had every intention to pay. I mentioned by pay history. I also let the office manager know this breakdown in patient care could result in my large family leaving Dentistry for Children. It seemed to do little. I would not recommend this Dentistry office. They were so concerned with today's charges being paid today that they lost 6 patients!

I usually do not leave reviews but in consideration of the last review and the treatment we…read morereceived in April 2018, I feel I must. Our son came to Dr. Santoro on a referral from our regular dentist to fill my 5 year old's cavities. He had an unrelated/freak accident the day before where he had got a plastic BB stuck in his ear. He was so scared crying and shaking and ghost white. The staff was sooo good to him. Making balloon animals and the office was filled with toys. It is a very relaxed environment. Dr Santoro was able to get my son calmed down not only to look at his teeth but his ear (something he wouldn't let any ER dr do) too. Dr Santoro was joking with him and really made sure he was comfortable and happy. Because my son was so petrified they didn't do all of the routine exam and prescribed a medicine to get him to relax the next time he came in. Dr and staff was very helpful, kind and compassionate to our situation. I have referred all of my friends here too! This is the best dentist I have been to for children the office is set up like a little park with park bench & picnic table. It has a stone pebble pathway in the waiting room and toys, toys, toys! The kids loved it, not so much the filling but who does!

Afterwards he scolded my choice of words in comforting my daughter. I let the office staff know that I was not happy with the way he spoke to my daughter or me in the room, with tears in my eyes as i was so upset. They obviously let the doctor know of my complaint because before i could buckle my daughter into the car, the dentist himself was standing behind me in the parking lot saying, "I heard you have an issue with me". After he spouted off about how ungrateful I was for even thinking to complain and how my daughter was NOT in pain and just uncomfortable, We continued our conversation inside his offices as I was in need of making sure I got the medical files so that we could go to another dentist. He continued to call me ungrateful and finally, "un-parental" for "allowing" her teeth to get that bad and i should be thankful that they even helped me, while his staff coaxed him with their hands to calm himself. Just what my daughter needed in her first true dental experience, and from a so-called "children's dentist" at that. So very unprofessional, so very rude, so very disappointing. While his office staff is helpful and wonderful, John santoro himself is an absolute nightmare of a human being, lacking compassion and ethics. To follow me out to the parking lot and confront me in front of my daughter? Unacceptable. It's time for retirement in my opinion.
