We absolutely do NOT recommend!!! In December 2021, Timmy's tree service took down four trees and ground the stumps or at least we thought they had. In April 2022, when we had a landscaper remove the ground stump debris, they determined that a significant amount of the stump still remained for one tree. We called twice and left voicemails with no return calls. Then after a third call from a different phone number, we finally spoke to Timmy who said he would remediate the issue but then cut us off before the call was completed. It's now been a week with no response to texts or any effort on their part to address the issue. Of course, the work is paid in full. This is extremely disappointing and frustrating. I'll be happy to update this review if the company returns my phone calls and settles up, as promised, for the damage done to my property. They did an excellent job removing a dying cherry tree, but pressed me to take down another tree and have the stumps ground "while we're here, and you can save some money." They applied similar pressure when doing work for my mom who's in her 80s. (I believe the individual in charge of work done for me and my mother is no longer with the company, but I'm not certain.) Turns out, the crew didn't have a stump grinder with them and said they'd catch the stumps the next time they were in the area. Wish I hadn't paid them at the time. Six months later, my mom and I were still staring at stumps. Timmy, the owner, was very polite when we spoke with him about the delay, but it took a couple months of weekly phone calls to get them back in town to do the work already paid for. Everything was fine at my mom's house, but the stump grinder damaged cobblestone edging and cracked the iron covers on the driveway drain, and they also cut a pipe in my irrigation system. Total damage $155, excluding the cobblestones. After promising to reimburse me for the repairs, they never sent a check, and now they're not answering my calls. The last message I left asked them to please call or at least let me know if they have no intention of repaying me for the damage done. It's been almost two months -- nothing. read more

High Pressure. Does not understand NO. Came to the house without an appointment. Tree fell on my house. They Low Balled the price and then found other necessary work? I agreed to price but warned them NOT to damage the roof upon taking the tree off. Told them they needed a hydraulic lift to remove the tree without further damage. Jeff assured me it would not be a problem. The damaged the roof beyond what the falling tree did by trying to get it off the roof without further damage. The inevitable happened. Further damage. I had to stop the check I paid them as negotiating leverage. I will pay what is fair after they compensate me for the damage they did. Be careful they are very high pressure. I had 2 huge, very dangerous, crooked, old trees taken down at my house plus other miscellaneous "trimming and topping". These guys are great. They come from a family business of tree folks (just ask and they will tell you). They definitely know what they are doing. Timmy Lamb is the owner and a certified arborist and they are bonded and insured (based out of Orange, VA...I live in Occoquan so they are willing to travel). They maintain their equipment and Timmy stays on top of his crew. If you are "new" to this, like I was, taking down a tree is messy business but "Nature" recovers, you gotta give it time! These guys cleaned up all adjacent neighbor's yards AND the street...without me asking!!! If you need a tree to get gone, get a hold of these guys if you can. Trust me, you will enjoy the show!!! We bought our dumb house a year ago and have had nothing but trouble ever since, and these tree guys showing up was the MOST fun I've had since we've been here!!! Timmy and his crew did a great job taking out an 80+ foot dead red oak tree from our yard. It was over a power line and they were impressive! They were the most responsive and reliable company we found in the area. In fact, they did all of the mulching and removal of underbrush in our yard - a big job - in a single day and didn't even quit when it was pouring out. They made sure it was all to our satisfaction and didn't leave until it was all cleaned up and perfect. I know who's going to get the call any time we need work done! We're already looking at "phase 2" of the project in the spring. read more

B. Kramer. 12/12/12 We have a solaroom--all glass. A huge branch of an old Sycamore tree had grown over it, The size of that branch made the tree lean toward the solaroom/house. Timmy Lamb and his crew removed that branch over glass and were so skilful that the only thing that dropped on the glass was sawdust(which they blew off in the cleanup.) They also removed a very large Oak that threatened my house and my neighbor's house. They worked quickly, efficently and carefully. I recommended them to a neighbor and they removed a tree for him as well and he was as satisfied as we are. We live in Montgomery County, MD, so travel is not a problem for them. Tommy and Wesley did a great job of trimming and topping two large bushes/trees next to our house. They worked quickly and efficiently. There were five guys, each with their own role, and they knew what they were doing. Their cleanup was great - the ground looked better than it had before they started.
